Gearation Activity Set is a winner! The colorful magnetic discs interlock, giving little hands an opportunity to learn about cogs, gears and magnets simultaneously. With 2 speeds of movement and a seemingly unending number of combinations, this toy allows children to create their own "moving picture" complete with sound! The discs are colorful, well-made and easy for a 3-4 year old to interlock. It's movement is messmerizing to children and adults as well. A great toy!Customer Review: well worth it.

I bought two of these, one for my son (3 yrs) and one for his friends birthday. They both loved it. It is durable,colorful and engaging. My son was engrossed in it till he figured out how to attach the gears when the whole thing is in motion. My piece was a little faulty in that the battery compartment door if closed will not work, i had to keep the battery compartment door open and the battery pulled a little out
( a loose connection problem ). My son loved the toy.

My two and a half year old has been playing with this toy over three days now and he just loves it. As he has figured out how to play with it on his own he has gained a sense of accomplishment and it is good for fine motor skills as well as learning consequences (if the gears don't mesh, they don't turn, etc.). It is brightly colored, the sound can be annoying but no more annoying than most other toys. I highly recommend this toy.Customer Review: Gear up for Fun

I bought this as a gift for a 2 year old, because my 20 month old daughter loves this toy. She played with it all the time with her friend, a 23 month old boy. It's fun and educational for the kids to play with this toy because they have to figure out how the gears go together to run. Not only is this toy fun for kids, but adults often end up playing with it too. This is a great toy for kids and parents to enjoy together.Customer Review: Gearation activity set

I have a 3 1/2 and a 6 yr old and both really enjoy this toy. The gears attach to the board thru magnets in the back of each gear which is great in terms of keeping track of the different pieces. It's a great introduction to children on the mechanics of how gears work. The 3 1/2 also enjoys carrying the board around with its convenient handle. It's not a complicated toy for kids to pick up but quite an innovative one.
