Customer Review: Great geek cubicle toy!

I got this to put on a magnetic white board I use for project management in order to create some visual stress relief and induce sudden state change. It is far more fun than I thought it would be, and generates a lot of smiles and lightening of spirits in co-workers and visitors.
It is a great stress reliever to sit and re-arrange the gears to make little machines, then turn the power on and watch them go. The gears use magnets to stick to metal, and you arrange them to mesh indifferent was. One large gear houses a motor which drives the gears when meshed well. The power switch has three settings: forward, off, and backward.
It is way too much fun to waste on children. This is for harried adults.
It is more durable than I imagined, as I have bumped it and knocked parts to the floor numerous times and it still keeps on going. None of the fallen gears has yet to break, including the motorized one. I have had it for about a year, and have yet to replace the first battery, although I don't run it every day.
This is one of those great gifts for the person who has everything or needs something silly to inject a smile into the day. It will stick on most any magnet-friendly metal, including file cabinets, magnetic white boards, metal file holders, appliances, etc.
Highly recommended, especially for those who don't take life so seriously (or need to learn not to take life so seriously). Get one.
