I purchased this toy for my 3 1/2 year after reading the reviews of this and all the other marble runs. This is a really fun marble run- for me- putting it together and trying to make it work by trial and error. I love the flexibility of the track. I love how the parts all fit together. I wish I had bought the larger set most definitely. However, it is a little fragile for a 3 1/2 year old who is not always so steady and careful around it. It can be easy to knock off balance. I did struggle to get the right design that would work. It's a very compelling toy. And I would very much recommend it for a 4+ year old.Customer Review: Skyrail Marble Run Roller Coaster 150-pc Set

We have now bought two of these sets so our 5-year-old can build bigger tracks. Be forewarned that there is a larger set (250 pieces) that contains different parts than this 150 piece set, so simply buying this set twice will not enable you to build some of the track layouts included in the instructions that come with both sets.
I highly recommend these sets for their ease of use and the sheer fun factor. They are easy enough for small hands to put together, and our son has fun creating his own designs in addition to trying to replicate the layouts included in the instructions.

So many toys these days are just complicated junk made in China. This rollercoaster is very simple, but offers incredible versatility. Unlike K'Nex roller coasters that are incredibly complex and can be built only one way, this rollercoaster set is amazinginly simple but offers unlimited possibilties for building and experimentation. No instructions to follow... just build. Our 6-yr old has spent at least 8 hours over the least two days coming up with alll kinds of creative coasters. Awesome product. We love video games, but for the price of a single Nintendo DS cartridge, the Skyrail coaster delivers a huge punch of fun and creativity. You wouldn't think it would be enthralling to watch a marble surrender to the laws of gravity as it travels on on a narrow track, but you'd be very wrong. So much fun to build it together, tweak it, and see it work over and over. The possibilities of constructions with just a few types of standard components is unbelievable. We'll be getting a second set to fill the whole family room with coaster track.Customer Review: great idea, but finicky and poorly made

My 10yo daughter and I have had a set for a while, and we get it out from time to time, but its limitations hold us back. For one thing, the tabs on the ends of the tracks get broken off easily, so they won't stick together. The other thing is simply the limitation of the toy for building things quick. It's not a tinkertoy, it's more of a toy that requires thoughtful and careful construction to get it to do interesting things. It's fine for that, and as an adult I have the patience for it, but not so for my kid. Hope that helps!
