My son received this as a gift when he turned 4, and we all love this game. Slightly educational since you learn about balance, and different strategies for hanging monkeys. But mostly it is fun. The magnet is a great design idea.
ONE RULE SUGGESTION: add a penalty if you knock the monkeys down (like you need to "take back" one monkey into your pile), otherwise people might knock down the monkeys on purpose. Still, no matter what you do, it is fun.

We got this for our 3 year old son and he loved hanging the monkeys on the tree. As a young boy, he also loves purposefully knocking the tree top off and starting over. Because of this we have not officially played the game much but it helps us wotk with him on turn taking and playing together. My 3 ad 5 year old LOVE to play this game! They have so much fun finding different ways to balance the monkeys and laugh every time the tree falls. It's a good game for counting and balancing. Simple enough for a 3 year old, yet very entertaining...even for mom! Highly recommend!Customer Review: Great Gift

My son received this as a gift from a learning supply store when he was four. This toy is a lot of fun, for all ages. Purchased the "Monkey Tree" last minute for my 4yr old daughter at christmas.
Glad I did, fun game, easy to learn not exactly the most educational of all games
but we have had lots of laughs playing this together.
