Toys and Games Reviews of Insect Lore Ladybug LandCustomer Review: dead bugs; disappointed grand-daughter Summary: 1 Stars
After you buy this item, you must pay another $5.00 to get the ladybug larvae. I did. When the bugs came, in a plastic tube, half were dead. There were about 5 live ones left. I tapped them into the enclosure, with the sponge dampened, per instructions. When I looked at them, later that same day, all of them were dead. Zero value for my money. I will try to get a replacement from Insect Lore, since Amazon doesn't cover it. Wish me luck.
Customer Review: Educational Fun Summary: 4 Stars
I purchased this for my 7 year old daughter and she had amazing fun with it. I really liked how they encourage the kids to journal daily, documenting changes and develop observational skills. My only dislike of the whole experience was the additional fee that needed to be paid to receive the larvae. I initially felt deceived and think Insect Lore could avoid this only negative by just increasing the cost of the product by $3.
Customer Review: Ladybug Land is Great Summary: 5 Stars
We loved this gift. Our four-year-old twin girl received it as a gift. We filled out the egg order form in her own name, so she was super excited when the package arrived in the mail with her own name on it. She would call me at work to tell me what the ladybugs larvae were doing, and was ecstatic the day we released the mature ladybugs into our backyard garden.
Customer Review: Great gift for the bug lover! Summary: 5 Stars
My 7 year old recieved this as a gift for his birthday. It was a hit. We had no idea what the lifecycle for a ladybug was, it was fascinating to learn and watch the whole process. We were a little sad when we finally had to let them go. The Ladybug land is very durable and can be used again. We can't wait to order more ladybug larvae and start the process over.
Customer Review: NEAT CYCLE Summary: 5 Stars
This is a really cool house and teaches kids about a ladybug life cycle. Who knew the actually have a cocoon stage. The larvae arrived with most of them alive and was available in February. The only thing I didn't expect was I had to pay for shipping and handling on the ladybug larvae. House seller was good and item arrived on time in good condition.
