Toys and Games Reviews of Hexbug Nano (Colors May Vary)Customer Review: Great Potential Cat or Dog Toy! Summary: 4 Stars
I had never heard of these things before, and bought it hoping it would be a good cat toy. The little thing as about an inch and a half long, and it vibrates at a high speed, then bounces around on rubbery legs. It works on hard surfaces, and bounces off of rugs, shoes, etc, so it keeps moving around. My cats were keenly interested, but more likely to watch it than chase it. We quickly lost it under the stove, but because it keeps buzzing, it wasn't too hard to locate. I think this has great potential for cats, dogs, ferrets and kids.
Customer Review: So cute! Summary: 5 Stars
I had no idea what these little creatures were or what they did. My niece told me about them and I got her this as a gift and it's amazing and so cute. It moves around so fast and it looks and acts like a real creature! The kitty is very interested in it, too! But, she's a thrasher so we don't let the kitty grab hold... really, this is unique and fun. You can get a whole set of these on amazon HEXBUG Nano Habitat Set.
Customer Review: Great fun! Summary: 5 Stars
This toy is great fun. It really moves like a bug. We can't keep the cat away from it, so we don't- she brings it to us so that we will turn it on. The battery lasted for about 2 months, turning it on for a little while at a time.
It won't work on carpet, and often gets its nose stuck under the lip of furniture, otherwise, it's self-freeing.
Customer Review: Great fun Summary: 5 Stars
Bought this little creature for my son who is 8 years old. We all love it. It acts like a real bug. Everyone who comes over is amazed and can't keep their hands off it. It really is fun and durable. It has fallen off the counter a few times and on it's own rights itself up and goes about its business. Would definitely recommend it for anyone who has boys.
Customer Review: One of the best cat toys ever Summary: 4 Stars
Some friends suggested the hexbug nano as a cat toy. Wow, was it ever a hit with all four of my cats! They wouldn't put their mouths on it because of the vibration, but they batted it around quite a bit without doing any damage to the bug. One note; play should always be supervised, and do hide the bug from your cat once you've turned it off!
