Toys and Games Reviews of Hexbug Nano (Colors May Vary)Customer Review: Good, clean fun Summary: 5 Stars
It's simple, and it works well. I think after the novelty of directly playing with it has worn off, there is a wealth of play to be had with treating it like a little pet--you can build "houses" or pathways out of legos, you can race them/fight them, etc. My kid has one, and I'll probably get myself one too (for work--it'll make a nice "break" if confined to a little pen on my desk). Overall, these are awesome and I haven't seen such a great little toy in ages. Glad I bought one on impulse as a gift. They sell playsets for these, and my kid wants one, but I think one can do much better with legos or other smooth blocks.
Customer Review: Can't Stop Playing With This Toy! Summary: 5 Stars
My son saw a commercial for this toy and wanted one for Christmas. We got him one, expecting it to be a cheap, gimmicky toy that would last for a week or two. We were so wrong. This thing is crazy fun! It runs all over the place. Be careful not to lose it under your refridgerator or somewhere similar. They go pretty fast and can get away before you know it. We ended up putting our son's in a casserole dish. He set up a whole little obstacle course for it. My husband said it creeps him out a bit because it seems to act just like a real bug! The only downside was the price we paid. We could've gotten one cheaper at the store.
Customer Review: Bridget's Review Summary: 5 Stars
The HEXBUG Nano is a super cool robotic toy that easily entertains both children and adults. These little robots are small but wickedly fast. My husband and I were pitting them against each other and I felt like a kid again. We were so engrossed in our competition that before I knew it, an hour had passed. It was fun to watch them and see how they react to different objects. I kept wishing that they would spring to life and start talking. Maybe I like the Transformers movies a little too much... I had a great time playing with these and I think they would make an excellent Christmas present.
Customer Review: Excellent New Toy!! Summary: 5 Stars
My grandsons have several of the Hex bugs and the track. I found this to be very refreshing and entertaining. Three grandsons using the same big track, they had one bug battle after another. They developed strategies as to where to place the bugs on the track for the best battle "edge". Parents will love this. It is simply a wonderful and entertaining toy but I would urge you to include the track for hours of imaginative play. The only down side is that some, not all, but some of the batteries seem to fizzle out, but they can be replaced. Would strongly recommend this new toy!
Customer Review: utter disappointment Summary: 1 Stars
I bought this toy a target and I want to forewarn all parents. This toy will run out of battery life within the first day. The replacement batteries are 4 bucks. I was not impressed with this gadget. It is a waste of money. Sure when you get it out of the box the kids and you are excited to see what it can do. Then a little while later the bug moves slower and slower. Then the batteries die. for 8 dollars this is not worth it. If it ran on solar for at least 3 hours i would say different things, but since this is supposed to be all tech savvy it is not worth the money.
