Toys and Games Reviews of Deal or No Deal DVD GameCustomer Review: Terrible, Not a good deal at all, take the cash Summary: 1 Stars
Save your money this game is terrible. It is so slow on my dvd player and freezes up everytime I play. If we happen to make it past the 6th case (thats when it always freezes up) then we quickly grow tired of the game its self its very boring due to the fact in part it moves so slow and because of the way you select the cases(you go through briefcase photos one by one until you get to the number you want, they should have set it up where the ladies hold the cases all out at once and you roll over to the case you want, it would go much quicker and be more entertaining that way.)(and I KNOW its not our dvd player making it slow its just the game). So when it comes to the questions deal or no deal??? NO DEAL. Save your money and by something worth while.
Customer Review: For me, it was a no deal Summary: 1 Stars
I got this as a x-mas present. First off, it wouldn't play in my regular DVD player, so I had to stick it in my computer DVD. On top of that, you have to sit through Howie's opening schtick with every game. On top of that, the selection of briefcases is tedious. You have to go through them one by one until you want the case of your choice. When I played this, the deal went up even when I selected a case with a high amount. It just wasn't fun. How did this even get approved by NBC and Endemol? They should've done their homework on this one because it was tedious and just not fun. Thankfully, it was returned to Wal-Mart. When approched to get this game, just say "no deal".
Customer Review: Disappointed with Design Summary: 2 Stars
Although this is an interactive DVD game, the response time using the remote control is terrible. I have tested this on several different DVD players. It gets slightly better on some, but overall, it is still slow. The reality in comparison to the TV show is greatly lacking. This game does not let you view all the remaining case numbers at one glance. You have to scroll number by number to see what is left to eliminate. In addition the listing of remaining amounts in play only shows up when you are asked deal or no deal. Leaving you trying to remember what amounts are still in play and effecting the overall strategy. I do not recommend this game.
Customer Review: DVD player performance matters Summary: 3 Stars
Most reviewers are not considering that they normally have an average or below average DVD player or do not know the real performance of their DVD player.
To play a DVD game, any kind of DVD game, ensure you have a top-of-the-line DVD player that has zero delay between DVD layers and quick data access. To review a DVD game, it is helpful to share what DVD player you have as results can vary significantly from one player to the next.
On the OPPO Digital 971H, practically the best DVD player on the market, this game runs perfectly.

Customer Review: a gift gone bad... Summary: 1 Stars
I bought this for my wife as a gift for christmas because she is a huge fan of the show, and likes to play board games. Her sister also recieved this as a gift from her husband. We played the game twice, and before it was over my wife called her sister to tell her that she should return the copy her husband got her because "the game is awful."
My list of complaints is similair to almost every other reviewer. It's slow. It's buggy. The interface is bad, particularly when picking cases. In two player mode the game doesn't even know who wins. save your money, and just watch the show.
