I bought my 1 year old the wee wedgit and wanted to build something more exciting so invested in this set for myself. The wheels are pretty cool but it was a bit tricky putting in the cross bars. i can't figure out if the wedgit mobile is sturdy enough to push around as my wedgit creations tend to topple, but this set does have alot of pieces so you can make lots of non wheel things too. i learned that wee wedgits and normal wedgits don't link as well (the rubber doesn't hold the little octagons) but they do stack ok. i played with this for a good two hours on my own. i wish i had more pieces, and that is the biggest complaint. Each set is always still missing something to make something cooler. For example, you would think the explorer set is the ultimate set, but it doens't have the expansion kits. to make the robots, it looks like you need 2 expansion kits. even with this many pieces, i couldn't make the robot like man. i could make the cool ball and the frog though. why is this toy so addictive? i put the toy away in my closet so i can play with it until my baby won't choke on the small parts.
