This Wedgits set is so cool. My son played with it at my sister's house and was addicted. Her 18 month old niece is also intrigued by it. So, we added it to Santa's list. It helps them problem solve and be creative. So, I highly recommend it.
My only suggestion would be that they have some kind of carrying case or box to put it in due to the pieces. I regret that we threw out the box it came in.

My daughter received these as a christmas gift from her uncle when she was 2. I had never heard of them and thought they were pretty much a useless gift. Well I was completely wrong, not only can she now follow and complete all the cards at the age of 4, but they are simple enough to put together that her 2 yr old brother can also use them. I opened the box, looked at the odd looking pieces and thought how can one play this toy. But boy, was I wrong? my whole family, grand parents, parents, kids, all had so much fun making shapes out of this toy. It is remarkably easy to make complex shapes. I purchased Wedgits for my 2 1/2 year old son. They are the coolest set of building manipulatives. Not your traditional building "blocks", but are unique and unusual. I especially love them because of the dimensional shapes and colors. Every time we build something, something new comes out of it! Fun for adults too!Customer Review: widgets - great purchase!

I found this toy by accident after searching for a stacking toy for a two-year-old. It is terrific! She quickly learned how to build with it, and her older sisters and parents love it, too. They fight over who gets to build with it. Now I need to buy some of the expansion kits so they can build bigger and better.
