This is a superb fun and a little bit of strategy with some luck game. It is great for couples.The only room for improvement for this particular version is that the plastic cup for rolling the dice is CLUNKY and NOISY. You can still roll the dice with your hands. You may want to consider the deluxe version for the valvet board.
A lot of FUN. Make sure you read the instructions to get the most out of the game! Happy Yahtzeeing....

We got this game for our nine year old son for Christmas. We only had to play it with him a few times before he and his seven year old brother got the hang of it. Now they can play without any help from us. It is also a great game because it is one their dad and I like to play with them. Our two and four year old can even get in on the action by teaming up with one of us and rolling the dice for us. While I'm not saying this isn't a fun game, it doesn't have the staying power of word games or logic games. While it does take some skill to determine what item to go for when a roll goes bad, too much of the game is blind luck.It's certainly helpful with math skills and I recommend it to younger kids that need a fun way to strengthen math skills, when it comes to pure gaming, this one leaves a bit to be desired.

This is one of my favourite games and makes a great solitaire game.
It can get frustrating at some times.
Most of the skill lies in the scoring but there are alot of times where you have to make sacrifices.
I recommend you get the folio travle version thing, because it is so much more attractive, great for travelling and doesn't create that much noise.
It is also makes a great solitaire game.

This is an oldie but goodie. I had this game from childhood but in a flood I lost it. Year's later thinking about all the fun I had with it I bought it again. I'm glad I did. It's just as fun as it ever was and even more so now that I don't get upset if I don't always win. The cat also likes the Dice. It's an inexpensive game fun for the whole family that will bring back happy memories and make new ones.
