Toys and Games Reviews of Trouble Board Game

Customer Review: great for young players!
Summary: 4 Stars

I bought this for my 6 year old for Christmas. Based on the same strategy as "Sorry", this game is easier for the very young to play. The game is intended for ages 5 and up, but I bet most 4's could play and probably even 3's would enjoy it as it could be used for learning to count, number recognition and color recognition. The dice popper is hard to push sometimes, but an older player could assist hand over hand. Overall, great game for family time!

Customer Review: Not like the original
Summary: 1 Stars

They sure don't make this like they used to. I played this game as a kid and remember it being much more sturdy , with a hard plastic bottom, and the popper not as flimsy. My son recieved this game as a christmas present, and most of the time the popper won't even pop the dice, and the game board it self is very flimsy. It doesn't even come in a hard sided box, just a thinly constructed jacket. Needless to say I'm very dissappointed in the quality.

Customer Review: Old versions better made
Summary: 4 Stars

My kids are now playing with the game that I had as a child (I'm 40+ now so the game is pushing 35 years old). We still have all the pieces and the popper is going strong. Given that you can still purchase this game for ~$10, or get it during a BOGO Free promotion, I think it is a good investment, even if it's not as durable as the old ones. The kids all love it. My 5 year old started playing it at 3 and it really helped his basic counting skills.

Customer Review: Hours of fun
Summary: 5 Stars

My five-and-a-half year old son received this game as a Christmas present and, hands down, it beats anything else that he received. He wants to play it night and day. To stir things up a bit, we've created our own new rules, such as "you have to move backwards for 2's," or "you can switch places with another player for 4's" and it makes the game even more fun and interesting.

Trouble ... it's an oldie but a goodie!

Customer Review: Family fun!
Summary: 5 Stars

Our daughter is almost 5 and loves, wait, is obsessed with this game. When we are not available to play she'll play with her stuffed animals. She is all about strategy--which this game has a lot of, with luck of course. It teaches that even if you're sent back home you can come back and win.
The popper is very sturdy and trust me, we could be the test family. Okay, we might all be a little obsessed. Highly recommended!
