My son got this as a Christmas gift. What a mistake! In addition to the difficult transformation from robot to car and vice versa, the pieces also come apart! The instructions are in black and white and they are DIFFICULT to follow. It took an adult 30 minutes to convert from robot to vehicle while trying to decipher the instructions! This toy is probably more suitable for an older child...maybe 8?Customer Review: Just like I remember

I got this for my 7 year old son and he has loved it. The joints are able to pop out and back into place to keep a kid from destroying it. Optimus' head get stuck at times but that's as close to a complaint as I have. It had a little bit of a learning curve for my son but he's got it now.Customer Review: Save your money

These are pretty crappy Transformers. Optimus looks ridiculous in Truck mode and his rotating waist joint won't hold still, so he's always doing the twist, and Megatron's arms keep breaking off when trying to transform him. Purchased for my 11 year old grandson. He seemed pleased with it, but said that one of the transformers titled Megatron was some other transformer..His mother said that transformers can change color and shape, so one cannot complain.Customer Review: Little boys like it!

This was purchased as a Christmas gift for my 5 year old great nephew. He liked it but it was forgotten when he opened the other gifts Santa brought. It's great for the price but i wouldn't buy this as more than a stocking stuffer.
