Toys and Games Reviews of Transformers Movie Deluxe Autobot Jazz

Customer Review: A 6 1/2 year old's review
Summary: 4 Stars

I like Jazz a lot. He is very easy to transform and sturdy, and he looks very sleak in car mode. But the bad thing is that the gun does not come with a missle. The good thing is that the gun can come out farther and look like a sword. This transformer makes you a little bit bored because it is too easy to transform. Another good thing about it is that no important pieces break and the spring in the chest doesn't bother me. But sometimes part of arms fall off (the part that is attached to the hands). Also, sometime the back of the car in car mode doesn't go all the way down because the legs push it back up.
Kids could buy this one. It's pretty good. It's my favorite movie transformer that I own so far, but not as good as the Generation 1 transformers.

Customer Review: My first figure in the new movie line
Summary: 5 Stars

I had to buy one of these guys to take with me to the movie (or else what kind of fanboy would I be?). Jazz had the best looking robot mode on the back of the box, and he hasn't disappointed. His robot mode is simply awesome looking and, setting aside my regret that he's not a Porsche, he looks pretty darn good in vehicle mode, too. The detail on this model is phenomenal considering it only cost me $10. My one minor complaint is that I'm unsure how to properly position the two panels of his forearms. I don't know that I'd go so far as others have in saying that they're flimsy; just that the design was a bit poorly implemented. Even with that, though, this is a five star (plus!) toy.

Customer Review: It's OK
Summary: 3 Stars

My 9 year old received this as a Christmas gift. It was hard to find one that wasn't the "second edition" from the fight scene of the movie. (I usually find what I'm looking for on Amazon!) He was so excited when he opened the gift but only played with it a couple of times. He's almost afraid to play with it much because upon first look you can tell that it is made out of a very cheap plasitc, as are most of the toys now'days. We have had 2 other Transformer vehicles break after playing with them only 1 time even with the boys being quite careful. As a parent I was really disappointed with the quality. However, the replication is done very well.

Customer Review: Dissapointing figure for an awesome character
Summary: 2 Stars

Jazz was my favorite character in the movie. Unfortunitly, it seems the fate of his toy is on par with his fate in the 2007 movie. This sculpt makes Jazz look fat and dumpy. His "hands" are half-inch spikes of plastic that do nothing but fold out. On mine, the head would not fully pop out. The fold-down wheels at the feet just look silly. His telescoping sword is a cheap cop-out for a weapon, along with his spoiler supposedly doubling as a shield. The grey plastic looks horribly dull. Jazz is suppose to be about style and cool, not dull. Vehicle mode looks ok. I would pass on this guy.

Customer Review: Breaks apart easily!
Summary: 4 Stars

I was surprised to find that this, like other Transformers that were gifts for Christmas, seem to fall apart very easily. They can be put back together (i.e. they don't break) but it is frustrating finding the parts all over the house. This one, Jazz, seems the most durable of he others we have. We keep reminding our son to "not force" the Transformer to a changed position, and I overheard him giving the same advice to a friend while playing with it. My son (age 7) loves playing with these, and it was a big hit!
