Toys and Games Reviews of The Game of SCATTERGORIESCustomer Review: Great Game Summary: 3 Stars
This is a very fun game to play. We have played it with 10 people, playing on teams, and just 2 persons (my 11yr old daughter and myself). We have even adapted it to be a car game, where you go thru the alphabet and name a person's name, where they are from, their favorite food, and their favorite animal switching back and forth as we go thru the alphabet. The other day she wanted to play a survival game, where we also go thru the alphabet and name a food, a drink, and an item you would like on a deserted island. She said this was practice for scattergories.
Customer Review: What you see is not what you get Summary: 1 Stars
This is not the classic game, it's the newer one with more categories but now their cut up into 2 sided cards with just one list on each side and where you put the cards has changed too now you stick them in this plastic thing inside the folder, it's not that it's worse it's still a fun game but I wanted the original like it shows in the picture and for that I gave this 1 star because what you see is not what you get. Don't get me wrong though it's essentially the same game with a few things changed I just hope the picture gets upgraded as did the game. Peace

This is such a fun game, I have loved it ever since I was nine when I first found it. You have to match the catergories to the previously chosen letter, and you have to be quick because you only have 3 minutes. You also have to be creative because you want to get different answers than the other people playing. This game is great, especially for people who don't like traditional, Monopoly-type board games (I don't). It's a good game to play with a group when things start to get boring, I bet you'll be far from bored after a few rounds of Scattergories.
Customer Review: Fun for all ages Summary: 5 Stars
This game is timeless. I use to play it as a kid at my grandfathers house when ever we would go to visit and it is now a game that I have purchased to play with my family, friends, and children that I nanny for. It is educational because you have to think of your whole vocabulary and be able to use words properly to get the points for them. The pieces are a timer, notepads, and a giant dice with all the letters on the alphabet so it is definately durable, not much you can do to distroy it. Try it and I'm sure you'll have as much fun as I do.

To play, roll the enclosed 26-letter die. You have a list of categories, and when the die lands and the timer starts, you have to fill in the catagories with the chosen letter. Some people enter really funny answers, and if you get one the same as someone else, you don't get that point. This and Clue are my favorite board games to play with my friends. It is great to play with a group (the bigger the group, the tougher) and it keeps everyone laughing. I recommend this game to everyone, and if you have to have one game, this is it.
