there is a rubber tube in the center that is about 1/4th inch thick rubber. I dont know how they did it but after about 12 hours continuous use it stopped working. I didnt know why until I took it apart. There was a split in the rubber tube. The problem is I couldnt return it after I took it apart. But guess what it seems stronger than anything else out there so I bought another one. I will let you know how long it lasts.Customer Review: Fun for the kids

I bought this for my sons, ages 4 and 7. They had a good time jumping over the volcano and getting soaked. It sprays a thin stream to each side, then I'd say about every 5 or 6 seconds, it sends a powerful blast out the top, maybe 15 feet into the air. It's fun, but the erruption is cyclic and predictable. It's good clean fun, and also great for watering the grass. I only had it a day, but it seems sturdy enough.Customer Review: The kids love it!

I bought this half on a lark figuring that we needed something to keep the kids happy playing with the garden hose. Was I ever surprised! The kids in the neighborhood LOVE this thing! It must be the suspense of waiting for it to blow, but whatever it is, they love it. Very durable and easy to setup. Just connect the hose and go. Lots of squeals of laughter and running. I bought this toy last summer and the kids loved it. Early this year, it stopped working and I couldn't figure out why. So, since it was cheap, I threw it away and bought another one (because the kids love it). Lasted 4 weeks. Haven't checked to see if the bladder broke, but it has the same symptoms as others state. Nothing blasts out the volcano and it just pours out the bottom. I wouldn't buy it again.Customer Review: Water Volcano

Despite reading bad reviews, I took a chance and purchased this item. I got the first one, hooked it up and it quit working within two hours. Ordered a second, it quits working within the hour. I should have known better as others have posted the same experience. Great concept, maybe they will get the actual product correct in the next year. Please don't waste your time on this one now.....
