Customer Review: Great for When You Don't Want to Commit to a Full Game of Scrabble

My boyfriend and I love Scrabble. But some times it just seems too much of a time commitment to pull out the board and play an entire game. Scrabble Slam is a perfect alternative - the games are quick, fast-paced and satisfy the itch I sometimes have to play a word-related game.
This game is also great for a small group as it takes only about a minute to explain the rules before everyone is up to speed. I recommend getting this version of the game as it comes with the card holders which is really helpful - especially when everyone really gets going with throwing cards down as they can fly ALL OVER the place.

Great game for school-age children and higher. My grandchildren and I have so much fun trying to outsmart one another. They really keep me thinking. We play every time they visit which is every 2 weeks. It keeps their minds thinking and is very challenging for us all. Even the younger ones attempt to play. Very fun game. We changed the rules from just a free-for-all rush to putting down cards, to taking turns putting out a card. This way it is a bit more educational and we can take our time to create words. I love this game. Being a scrabble fan, this game is easy and quicker than a board game. Probably wouldn't have purchased the Deluxe version. The only difference is a holder for the four cards versus laying them down on the table. Received this product much sooner than I thought.Customer Review: Good for kids, not adults

Somehow I got the impression from the commercials that this game was fun for adults like normal Scrabble. It is not. It is for kids, do not buy it if you are an adult and want an intellectually stimulating game. It is probably great if you have kids though.
