I've come in contact with many cubes and in my experiences this is by far the smoothest "natural cube" (not treated with any lubricant). This cube is great for novices and experts alike, as i started a novice but due to the excellent quality of the cube was able to get my solving time down to roughly a minute within a month. The only gripe i have with it is that in less than a month of use some of the stickers had peeled off and the others were peeling. This shouldnt be a deterant from buying this cube as i've seen this problem with other cubes and the problem can be easily remedied by purchasing replacement stickers for a little over a dollar, which is hardly a reason not to purchase this cube.Customer Review: The genuine article

My daughter found online instructions for solving the cube and used them on a small key chain cube she had. Unfortunately it was not made for extended use and broke. After researching a few alternatives, I bought two of these cubes for my two children. They have travelled with them and used them extensively and these seem indestructible. Another reviewer mentions that his cube's color stickers peeled off. I am almost certain that he is reviewing another make. There is another brand sold on this site and the reviews for that one are universally negative. However this particular unit is solidly built, turns smoothly and is great fun. I too have purchased the Rubiks from amazon and have had the same problem with the stickers peeling off within three days of use and yes it is not as smooth to move. I Love the Rubiks cube but I would like the same quality to be made for future rubiks as it was from the 80's. It is very challenging and fun for everyone. I was just dissapointed with the new make of it, I was wondering if I could purchase a good quality one without having to think about putting something on it to protect the stickers from peeling off, we should not have to do this.Things should get better with time not worse. When arrived the cube was bright and full of promise.
Utilizing the hints included, I was able to solve the cube in a matter of a few evenings. The hints were pleasantly vague, forcing one to do a lot of figuring to truly solve the puzzle.
There are also many resources online for those who wish.
only about a week after receiving the cube (and only a total of about 20 hours maximum of use) a few of the colored stickers began to come up, and peel away. Having already solved it I have since put it aside (using the handy display stand included) with the faulty stickers facing a wall.
all in all, a handy but hardly hardy toy. at least it's inexpensive!

This is a great toy for anyone! Grab a new cube, with all the colours in order, then scramble it and tada! Time to fix it... or maybe not. Got a few months? While the idea seems easy, the puzzle is very challenging! I have two cubes, an original one from the eighties with nice stickers (no, it's NOT for sale, lol!), and one of the new cheaper ones. Well, cheaper in the way it's built, more expensive in the way it costs... lol. But my new one is manicured, pedicured, lubed, AND laqured... and thanks for the tips! If I ever buy a new one, I will coat it with clear nail polish before I use it. Great toy for all, but little kids may not have enough patience.
