Toys and Games Reviews of RiskCustomer Review: Game n.1 in the Whole World Summary: 4 Stars
In Rio (Brazil), I've played this game for many years. It is called "War" there (in english indeed). My friends and me would spend hours with it. It is not extremely sophisticated, but luck plays an excessive and sometimes annoying role... besides, who begins the game has defenitely more chances to win. Notwithstanding these vices, Risk (or War) is the choice n.1 game because it is easy and always a challenge (specially for those who dont wanna think about thick-and-boring rule booklets). The only difference between US and Brazilian versions is that, in Brazil, Australia is not divided in two... :-)
Customer Review: Good Ole expansionistic fun Summary: 5 Stars
This game is a classic and everyone should own this. If you enjoy strategy and conquering other countries you have found your game. I have played this for years and recently bought a new board. The game still remains unchanged from its former glory unlike old games like Life which have undergone renevation, but this maintains its glory. The only drawback to this game is the time, if you are willing to put in a few solid hours of playing and can keep the energy up to backstab, and make treaties with your friends and family well fire away but if youa re looking for a quick game before bed, look somewhere else.

ok, first off im 16. When i first heard about risk i thought it would be pretty fun. well, risk is a fun game but there is to much luck involved. for example an army of 2 soliders can take out an army of 10 soliders with rolling the right numbers.it is a pretty easy strategy game to learnbut it gests very old easily and you can end up angry beacause you got terribel dice rolls and your friends got better rolls.its educational because it teaches some strategy. and the durability you can loose the pieces. if you want a real fun strategy game then get axis and allies which will sure give you a good time
Customer Review: This is the best world conquering game out there! Summary: 5 Stars
I love conquering games. I usually get them for my computer so when I first saw this game my friend asked if I wanted to play and I was excited. This game turned out to be beyond my expectations! This sure beats alot of my conquering games on my computer. I would reccomend this game to a older crowd like 8 and up. It is a great game for those rainy days where you can just sit and play that game for hours and never get bored with it. If you love games on the computer like Command and Conquer and Age of Kings or even board games like Stratego you will definitely love this game.
Customer Review: Your New World Order Summary: 5 Stars
Why do we keep returning to this game?We just finished a short game of it during lunch (at work), and the week before I was talking to a friend who does the same thing with his co-workers. _Risk_ draws you in -- more so than in _Monopoly_, less so than in chess, this world domination game depends on the spirit of the players. (Informal rules crop up, and you end up forming a kind of local United Nations.) _Risk_ brings out the power-hungry world dictator in all of us. Whether you win or not becomes eventually less important than how you go about it. Tons of fun.
