I originally bought Mr. Potato head as a learning tool for my 18 months who was starting to learn body parts. I thought it was an inexpensive idea and it worked and now Mr. Potato head is also a favorite toy of his. He tries to wear the green hat! I think that's my favorite part, watching him balance the tiny hat on his baby head. I've just purchased the fireman accessory pack, it'll be fun for him to figure out where the new parts go! This toy does have small parts so this is a toy that we play with together.
I find it sad that other reviewers state that this is a boring toy, I'm thankful that I haven't overstimulated my child with video games and such. Simple toys are often the best!

Who doesn't love Mr. Potato head?
He's great for teaching body parts and just generally having a lot of fun making goofy faces. I love the creative opportunities this toy has, it's so flexible as to where you can put eyes and ears and arms; and of course the storage compartment in the back which holds everything when you're done.
I wish more toys where this well designed!

I bought this toy for my little girl, and she only played with it once. There's only so much you can do with a potato head that just stands there, and my little darling managed to do it all in under thirty minutes. Perhaps this was a hot toy back in the day as they say, but now with the Game Boys, Nintendos, and Wiis, Mr. Potato Head just doesn't cut the mustard anymore.Customer Review: Thank you Mr. Potato Head!

Mr. Potato Head just potty trained my 3 year old! After much discussion with her about using the potty, we finally found the trick for her! Each time she went she got to put a piece on her new Mr. Potato head and by the time she was half done with the pieces she was potty trained. I doubt Mr. Potato Head has had such a heroic review.Customer Review: Requires Muscles

My 1.5 yr. old loves getting quizzed on body parts so I thought Mr. Potato Head, though labeled for children ages 3+, would be amusing to her. Wrong. My little girl finds Mr. Potato Head really frustrating and I do too. None of his parts come off or attach easily. I even struggle to remove his eyes, nose, etc. No fun.
