Toys and Games Reviews of Playskool Cushy Catch Glove & Ball SetCustomer Review: Want to introduce your little one to the world of baseball then buy this toy! Summary: 4 Stars
I purchased this toy for my 2 year old son so he could have a mitt of his own to take to baseball games. I originally thought that the ball would have velcro on it so he could hold on to the ball when it was thrown to him. There was no velcro on it & it is hard for him to catch the ball. HOWEVER, he absolutely LOVES the ball & mitt separately. The ball is light enough that he can throw it pretty far and will not hurt anyone if they get hit by it. The only thing I do not like about the ball is that it is soft enough that he can bite pieces off it if he wanted to. I am sure it would be better suited for a slightly older child.
Customer Review: Not worth it Summary: 2 Stars
My son like every other boy loves to throw a ball around. I bought this because he is still too young to figure out if he is right or left handed and this would work either way. Well, it sucks...The threading ripped almost immediately and uniike what the product describes it doesn't help him learn to catch in anyway. No pocket or whatever to provide support and encouragement in the glove!
Customer Review: Looks better online than "for real" Summary: 2 Stars
We weren't very impressed by this product. Fortunately, we purchased it on a good Holiday deal. I would have returned it *for sure* if we had paid full price. Honestly, if I had seen this product in the store for the Holiday deal, I probably wouldn't have bought it. It looks pretty cheap...
Customer Review: Not velcro Summary: 2 Stars
When I purchased this, I thought it was a velcro catch set that would be good for my 20month old. It is not. The toy has a pretty deep pocket which makes it easier for the little guy to catch the ball, but its something more appropriate for an older child, who is upto the next level.
Customer Review: It's OK Summary: 2 Stars
For the price it's OK. My son loves the ball but the mitt does not really stay on his hand and silly me I thought it was made with velcro but it's not and the ball does not stay in the glove.
