Toys and Games Reviews of Playskool Clipo Creativity TableCustomer Review: Spend your money elsewhere Summary: 2 Stars
As the other posters said, these pieces are frustratingly hard to put together - for adults and children alike. Got this for my 21 month old and he can't easily get the pieces to stick together and really only pays attention to the motorized gear (which loses its interest quickly). The blocks have to be oriented a certain way to connect which makes it more annoying than fun. Also, the turning gears are only 2 pieces of the table, so all it really does is rotate any towers you've managed to build around and around on opposite sides of the table. I was really disappointed with this. Spend your money on something else - this one's a loser!
Customer Review: Difficult for toddlers AND adults Summary: 3 Stars
We bought these for my 2 year old son, and thought that my 4 yr old son would enjoy them also. Although they both loved the Clipo play table with the spinning "gears", they had a lot of trouble interlocking the "blocks", as did my husband and his parents! When you could get them to work, you could build some pretty imaginative things, but we all found them too frustrating. My kids ended up constantly asking for help with these, and couldn't really play with them alone. So, we have decided to return them.
I thought they would be a nice alternative to bristle blocks, but that's what we've decided to buy instead.
Customer Review: Not your momma's Leggos Summary: 5 Stars
I read reviews on this product after buying it, and wondered if I had made a mistake. Some being critical of the difficulty level for the age group it is marketed for. But, my 2 year old daughter loves it, and she hasn't stopped playing with it since she opened it for Christmas! She has had no problems manipulating the pieces at all. Putting the table together was a tad difficult, but a little elbow grease, and it popped right into place! All in all, I am very satisfied with this item, as well as the extras you can buy to add to it. This toy will be a staple to both of my childrens playtime!
Customer Review: Very disappointed! Summary: 2 Stars
We got this for our now 18 month old for Christmas and just now got it out to play with. Like most of the other reviewers said, the pieces are VERY difficult to put together and even when you finally get them together, they fall apart easily. My husband and I and our 4 year old have all played with it and none of us enjoy this toy. The concept is good but they are going to have to refine it so the pieces interlock better than this. I wish I could return it but since we have waited so long to open it, I'm not sure Amazon would take it back. Very disappointing!
Customer Review: why this toy is in land fills and/or second hand shops Summary: 1 Stars
last year I bought this toy for my toddler daughter because at the time it was rated by several reputable companies as one of the new best toys. Maybe it is just my daughter.. but she never plays with this toy. She will play with similar lego type toys, so it wasn't beyond her scope of enjoyable toys. She ended using it as a step stool most of the time. I think I will be packing up this toy to resell to a second hand store or give it to good will. I can think of dozens of more toys for the same price that get more bang for the buck.
