Customer Review: Nice but Switch too easy to turn off!

This is cute, and my babies currently enjoy it at 8 months, but its not a fantastic toy. The balls are very lightweight and small, making it easy for them to pick up, and they love the spinning motion of the stacking pieces. However, the thing is kind of loud due to the air flow, which also makes it cold to play with right now (looking forward to playing with it in the summer though). My biggest complaint is the on switch - it barely moves so its hard to tell if it is turned on or off just looking at it. Plus its big and red, so the babies push at it, turning off the machine without realizing it.Customer Review: Great for a 1-yr. old

My youngest got this for Christmas (3 days before his 1st birthday), and it was a big hit! He plays with it every single day. He's a big fan of the little spinning palm tree. All of the pieces just set on top of their spots (they aren't permanently affixed), so it's easy for them to pick up the pieces and set them down again. Even when the toy is not on, he still takes the pieces off and plays with them because they are so easy to spin with your hand. And it uses the same balls as the busy ball popper, which he also got at the same time and loves even more! I would definitely recommend it.Customer Review: not educational at all...

My daughter received this as a gift when she was about 13 months old. It is extremely boring. The balls spin around which she will stare at for half a second before getting bored with it. The other parts of the toy are boring as well. My biggest issue with this toy is its lack of educational value. This toy does not even teach cause/effect... it is purely for entertainment. This is a toy for the kids of today that do nothing but sit in front of the television, not the type of child I hope to raise. Save your money and buy something that your kids might actually learn from.Customer Review: A home run toy purchase

Playskool Busy Ball-Tivity Center
Our family is living in furnished apartment while we transition to a new house. Most of our toys are in storage. I bought a selection of toys to keep the boys (age 3 and ten months) in our small space. This toy is such a hit. Both boys like it. My ten month old is fascinated. He has played with it off and on all day long every day this week. I watch his coordination improve as he figures out how to start the music, etc. It's just wonderful fun!
Customer Review: Grandmother of a 9 month old & 29 month old.

This toy was bought for my 9 month old grandson, he turned 9 months 3 days after Christmas. We had bought it for $6.99 on Amazon, and I would definitely not pay more than that for this toy. Although the 29 month old enjoys it more than the 9 month old - the 9 month old is really not sure about this toy and crawls away after looking at it. If I had paid $20+ for this toy I would have been really disappointed. I was expected there to be lights on the inside, and there is no volume on the music - but it's not at all annoying as some of the toys the kids got for Christmas.
