Toys and Games Reviews of Play-doh Case of ColorsCustomer Review: Little tubs of fun Summary: 5 Stars
When I visited my granddaughters in Australia last year for their birthdays, I made room in my suitcase for this Play-Doh Case of Colors. I intended it for party favors, but one rainy afternoon when Mom was working and my son was busy in the kitchen I decided to get it out for the girls.
At four and six years old, they're Play-Doh veterans and have a crate of little accessories to help with the fun. They were soon deep in the creative process, chatting all the while.
Drawing and modeling are windows into a child's imagination. I was delighted with their spotted dogs, bright birds, little families in wearable-art clothing, and many items that truly defied categorizing. Their stories and conversation were even more charming. The little two-ounce tubs encouraged sharing and planning. What a happy memory for me!
At the end of the afternoon the Play-Doh was sorted by color and packed back into the tubs, to be used again but never in its pristine state. There's something about brand-new Play-Doh, isn't there?
It may have seemed silly to haul Play-Doh halfway around the world to a household that's the world capital of children's art supplies, but I'm glad I did -- and my granddaughters were glad too. I'm a true fan of the Play-Doh Case of Colors.

Customer Review: I'm addicted to the smell Summary: 5 Stars
I bought this primary to for a memory experiment to see if I could induce childhood flashbacks with a whiff. Without disclosing the entire history of my youth (in 1,000 words of course) I will mention that back came hours at the kitchen table making 'shapes', 'dogs', 'men' and the rest of characters a small and limited universe might contain. My one disappointment in this set (I can't seem to find other versions) is that the color palate looks like the make-up kit of a very spirited 12-year old cheerleader -- out of 10 colors there are two versions of bubblegum pink. It may be nostalga but the primary colors seemed more appropriate and flexible for that time before time. The last point is that I do remember eating some -- though I'd be a little more cautious given the current assortment -- and actually liking it. There is, however, no indication on the box whether it should or shouldn't be digested, how much one should worry if all of a sudden the 'red' clay is half the size when you child began playing or the 'green' is missing entirely at clean-up time. I'd think parents might want a heads up.
Customer Review: Rule the world with Play-Doh. Summary: 5 Stars
Your mother isn't here. So...take the Play-Doh in the den! Take it in the room with the 'good' carpet! Embalm that Admiral Ackbar figure your ex left behind in a little pink sarcophagus! Pink? Yes, now there are even more colors than there were in the deluxe pack you never got anyway! Remember trying to make purple and ending up with a fuschia nightmare instead, and no blue or red left at all? Now the purple comes ready made. Open the blue can, take a deep heady whiff of the unforgettable smell. Open it, and relish the thud as you shake out the Play-Doh in that one perfect cylindrical piece. Open them all! At once! Make a rainbow! Make a black-lite sculpture! Make an ashtray out of your boss's face! Or keep a can on your desk and plunge your fingers in for a few moments of inexpensive aromatherapy. Yes, with Play-Doh, you can create and rule your own little world -- and all for less than it takes to get the family out for fast food. And, unlike the fast food, Play-Doh's guaranteed to be non-toxic.
Customer Review: Soft, sweet smelling fun! Summary: 5 Stars
This set is so delicious you just want to eat it (please don't though!) and it has a million and one uses that are fun, fun, fun. You have ten pots of colorful squishy dough that can be used to make dinosaurs, farm animals, people and even buildings! There's nothing you can make with play-doh, my nephew even made a plate of ham and eggs, well that's what he said it was and I am inclined to believe him! All you need is a plastic sheet, some cookie cutters and a whole heap of imagaination. Remember however that Play-Douh goes hard if you don't put it away after you have finished using it, make sure the lids are sealed tightly if you want it to last. This is a great toy that children and adults can enjoy together, and this set is especially good value as it doesn't cost the earth and it is well packaged. Well worth investing in for those long rainy days that are heading our way!
Customer Review: Great Experience Summary: 5 Stars
I purchased this toy for the child that I nanny, she absolutely LOVES play-doh. I did not read the description well enough to see that the ten containers are indeed mini containers, but she does not care. I have found that spending the extra few dollars to buy the play-doh brand is worth it. If you are looking for a fun variety of colors and endless possibilities of sculptures, this is a great product.
READ: These are not full-size cans of play-doh.
Overall, shipping was speedy and product is great for the use I intended.
