Customer Review: Tons of Fun, easy to clean, easy to store!

We bought this for my daughter when she was 3. She's now 5 and still loves to play with it. My daughter can play with play-doh for at least and hour. She creates endless animals, monsters, food, people. One day she made a giant ice cream sunday complete with toppings and a spoon. It kept her occupied for over an hour. This kit comes with tons of cutters, molds and shapes. It even has a little handled play-doh picker-upper that helps to clean up those little pieces at the end of play. I love that everything stores into the container. It slips neatly under our breakfast nook bench ready for the next use. The top of the container doubles as a play surface and has all different kinds of molds along the border. We tried using it as a work surface but we found it much easier just to sit a table.
Here are some things to consider with play-doh:
* It is pretty easy to clean up. Take a small piece of play doh and use to collect "crumbs" at the end of play by "tapping" your piece on the crumbs.
* We love using cookie cutters, sea shells and other textured household things for interesting imprints.
* My mom gave us a bunch of birthday candles. My daughter loves making all kind of birthday cakes and then sticking the candles on the top.
*Shop around for prices. Some third party sellers on amazon REALLY jack up the prices.

Our little guy hasn't taken to this yet.
I will re-introduce the toy again after a little time but right now, it is a little too advanced for my 2 year old.
I think it is a great value for the money-you get a lot-and hope he will play with it later.
I love how everything is self contained

So it's not completely educational - SO WHAT! Kids need to have fun! They can still pick up some creativity skills. My kids love playing with with. Loved all the gadgets it came with. Much cheaper than buying them at the store one by one! Great buy!Customer Review: A crowd pleaser
