Toys and Games Reviews of Nerf N-Strike Maverick - Colors May VaryCustomer Review: Great item until it breaks Summary: 4 Stars
This item is great to have. It has a functional barrel which can hold up to six darts. To reload all you have to do is cock it then shoot. The only bad thing about this product is that you need to make sure to grab the darts off the blue suction cup. The suction is so powerful that if you don't grasp the head of the dart to un-suck it, then the cup will come right off. Some may think, 'oh, thats ok, ill just order some more'. To that i say, good luck, because finding refills is almost impossible if you have only kept the gun, and accidentally thrown away the refill order form. So i guess my advice is to take good care of that order form.
Customer Review: ever heard of an SBD? Summary: 5 Stars
Silent But Deadly. This gun is the bomb! As one other reviewer said, the sweet spot in the nerf lineup, quote-on-quote. Pretty simplistic one-shot firing makes a very accurate shooter. The only three major problems are the popout mechanism, actual firing, and dart pushing-in. 1) Popout mechanism sometimes sticks in momentarily (this can get really annoying; should cure after a couple uses), 2) firing is offset because your hand moves because of firing the gun, and 3) If you don't push the darts all the way in, they clog the gun barrel. However, these are minor problems and you should have no problem! For eight-ten bucks, a great buy!
Customer Review: The Great Maverick Summary: 5 Stars
Maverick or Nitefinder? I questioned myself for about 25 minutes on what to get. My friend wanted the Nitefinder, and I was thinking of getting one. The Maverick was my overall choice though, and still would be. It is a great gun, a bulky pistol with a 6 shot barrel. If you're a good cocker, you could make this gun rapid-fire! Also, the bullet's don't fall out, and at $9.99, it's really worth it (The Maverick is extremely strong and accurate. Do not point at face or eyes. Also, if you are the kind of person who doesn't shoot your bullets a lot, I would recommend the Nitefinder). This is the perfect shooting, non-educational gun!
Customer Review: Choose your nerf weapon wisely.... Summary: 4 Stars
I sold my Nerf Wildfire to get this gun and the nitefinder ex-3. The wildfire was fun but expensive, and impractical in a real nerf war. The maverick is a nice size gun, the loading mechanism is fairly easy to operate. The gun feels unbalanced and front heavy in the hand but it has excellent power and good accuracy. The drawbacks are that it jams and doesn't fire sometimes, and it takes a while to load sometimes because you have to really push the darts in there so the barrel rotates smooth. The good thing is you have 6 darts ready to fire with a simple 1 pump and click motion....this is a very good and practical nerf weapon imho.
Customer Review: The Maverick Summary: 5 Stars
This Gun is So Awsome somepeople might say they have trouble with loading it i dont, its very simple. This is a good well rounded gun and is great if you have a bunch of friends that all have think they have better ones. This gun packs a pretty good punch too, and the cocking is easy so you can fire Quickly and reload quickly also. Most people think its hard to load it and sometimes it is, but you just have to make sure they're in all the way.
Very Important!!!! Dont use the nightfinder darts in this gun they are too small and will get stuck in it very easily.
