Customer Review: My boys favorite gift this Christmas!

Call me crazy, but I (Santa) gave all 4 of my boys one of these Nerf guns for Christmas. I have never allowed weapons as a gift at Christmas, but Nerf wars have been a common activity in our house, and I could not resist. My boys are ages 7-13. They have had more fun with these guns, and I think I could have gotten away with giving them nothing but this gift. It is actually 2 guns in one. The scope really works once they learned how to use it. And although it is suppose to only take the one kind of bullet, my kids have managed to use the Nerf-tag bullets with it too. All of the grown men in the family have taken turns with the guns.
The guns are made well, and have been a real hit!
Customer Review: 50 ft Range Test

I just tried the 50ft test outside and it worked. I used a 50ft measuring tape. The wind was blowing side to side so it didn't affect the distance, only the accuracy. Well I tried the test from both ends of the tape and both times it exceeded 50 feet. I waited for the wind to be calmest before I took a shot so don't think I cheated. The accuracy would've been much better than it was if there wasn't any wind.
Note: This test was done with just the main piece, the extension part was not used. I don't think the extension part would change anything at all, except for make the gun harder to hold.

I'm 10 and I am giving you some reasons why I rate this 5 stars.
1. The adjustable stock: this is a great accessory for the Nerf LongShot but it needs a better lock. +3 stars
2. the scope STINKS, is just a hollow tube and is just dead weight. -1 star
3. Gets great range!!!! +3 stars
4. Cocking action ROCKS!!!! +3 stars
5. Jams occasionally but is easily fixed. -1 star
6. The pistol extension decreases range and fires poorly. -2 stars

This gun is really a bunch of fun in this house. The laser can be used to pinpoint exactly what your aim's desire may be and since it comes apart, that is done quite easily. The worst part of the gun is the fact that it is so big, it's quite cumbersome. Especially so for the little guys, about 7 and under. This gun is used mostly separately in our house, or it's set up on the kitchen table and fired into the drapes into the family room. To actually carry the thing, it's quite difficult for even a seven-year-old. Other than that, it's been a load of fun but be sure to get replacement darts at target - they've been the cheapest I've found. Highly recommend!Customer Review: Good for beginners

The gun right out of the box performs well enough for a safety-oriented plastic dart blaster, but in the end 30 feet is mediocre. It really begins to shine when you open it up and fiddle with its guts, and you can tell they wanted to make it easy. No glue in sight, and all the components are relatively easy to reach. If you remove the air restrictors, plug that annoying hole near he base of the barrel, and replace/add to the main firing spring, your range will increase threefold.
My one complaint is that one of the screw nubs holding the plunger in was too wide for its little cap, and it split when I unscrewed it. A little glue fixed that, though.
