Toys and Games Reviews of Nerf N-Strike Longshot CS-6Customer Review: Nerf N-Strike Longshot CS-6 Summary: 5 Stars
Nerf N STRIKE LONGSHOT CS-6
Large, unwieldy, the cocking mechanism is to far back, and the range stinks like crazy. The good thing about it is that when you get a 35 round clip(Raider CS-35only),and a box, flip the stand on the end of the gun down, put the barrel for the Recon on(take the one shot gun on the front off) and viola:! Super sniper rifle! For your normal battles, I wouldn't recommend the Longshot, but for sniping, sure! Go get it! (don't forget the addons) The sight is more for looks than accuracy, but still, you get a little more accurate than you would without it. For extreme accuracy, I would recommend the Recon CS-6 barrel with the Recon CS-6 sight. For super fast reloading, the stock has a little hole that you can put a clip in. Any clip will go in there. (the CS-6 RAIDER clip is a little to clumsy)
The stock is adjustable for shorter or longer arms. It slides in and out about 4 inches.
All in all, when fully customized, the CS-6 LONGSHOT is a SUPERB gun. One of these days I will get down to putting a video review on. Until then, Enjoy!
Customer Review: A Nice Addition To The Nerf Family Summary: 4 Stars
First of all, I am quite experienced with Nerf brand products, and have been playing with Nerf stuff since I was two years old. This particular blaster is very interesting to me, because it is bolt-action, clip-fed, and has a scope. The scope is VERY inaccurate, and you have to aim about a foot above someone if you want to hit them. For instance, if I wanted to hit an enemy in the chest, I would aim for his face. I took away one star because of that, and because the darts made for the CS-6 are also very inaccurate. The gun itself has great range and accuracy, but the darts have a small hole in them which makes them go to the left or right or up or down when you shoot them. And one reviewer wrote that putting the darts in the clip with the holes facing downward increases the range and accuracy. It does to some extent, but it's kind of a hassle to make sure all the holes are facing downward. Other than that, it's a nice addition to any Nerf arsenal, and the intimidation that the enemy gets when they see you holding this thing is AWESOME!
Sincerely, Davy Jones

Got it opened it and modded the gun getting awesome results even out of the box it is great.
A good thing to do is to salvage any parts you can from the front gun because it is pathetic and wrong to call it a side arm.
Use the spring and barrel from the front gun and store them away for future use.
This is a great gun and is used by beginners and pros alike.
This is the most bang for your buck.now the long srikes counter part the long STRIKE has one major flaw it's firing system is that of a recon it uses a plunger system the perfect example of the watering down of these guns. The long shot is a great gun to mod given the fact that no parts are glued down in the main gun and the firing mechanism allows you to add more springs.
Probabaly the best additional spring is the BBB the Big Bad Bow spring gives it great range at no cost damage wise to the gun.
Thanks for reading and if I were you I would keep one Long shot in the box just in case

Customer Review: This gun kicks butt Summary: 4 Stars
I am a 17 year old paintball airsoft enthusiast. Nerf is the next best thing to practice with in the house. I am in high school and i love to play with nerf guns. I got this gun on 11/7/06. It is great. The only problem is the pistol extention. It sucks. Do not use it for the main gun. Just use it as a pistol it goes the same distance and is silent. The scope is crap. Get rid of it. It moves and is never accurate. If you shot with the extention and use the scope you will shot the ground not the intended target. If you just use the extention you have to aim up. Just use the main gun. It works wonders. the clip runs smoothly and does not jam as much. You can reload faster than any gun i have used. The bi-pod is ok. All nerf has to do is come out with extra clips and ammo to buy and they will be golden. My friends, brother and I all play nerf in a huge around the house tournament. I totally reccommend this gun. Maybe you will have your own tournament. Have fun and dont shoot your eye out.
Customer Review: The original and still-best N-Strike sniper! Summary: 5 Stars
The Long Shot is the original NERF sniper rifle. It was the first Clip System (CS) blaster and the first to use the Streamline darts... and it's been replaced by the Long Strike. That's a shame really, because the Long Shot shoots further, comes with more accessories and is 3 blasters in one... the extended barrel snaps off into an awkward but useful one shot pistol, leaving the main body as a cool assault rifle type blaster. The Long Shot also has an adjustable stock, a sturdy built in folding bi-pod, includes a neat looking but non functional scope, and if you can find an older (blue) one it came with 2 clips. All in all it's an impressive package, but I see why the lighter, somewhat better looking Long Strike replaced it... the feature packed Long Shot certainly must have cost more to produce! If you need to be a NERF sniper, the Long Shot is the one to track down. As a run and gun blaster tho, you're probably better off saving a couple bucks and grabbing a Raider.
