Customer Review: I suggest you to Get a Maverick instead

I bought this as my first nerf gun years ago thinking that it would be able to beat a longshot because it is topheavy, and a maverick because it's small. I was wrong, and with this gun, I was thoroughly beaten by my dad (with the maverick) and my little brother (who had the longshot). The maverick is cheaper, lighter, easier to cock , shoots farther than the the firefly, and you can retain a normal run while carrying it. All in all, I think I'll be borrowing my dad's maverick instead.Customer Review: nerf reaches a whole new level!!!!

My friend has this gun and he has let me borrow it a few times. It rocks!!!!!! The range is awesome, and it is easy to reload. Other guns may be easier, but if you're a good Nerfer, this gun provides awesome shooting.
Cons:
Darts sometimes fall out of the holder
Trigger is hard to press with one finger (I use my trigger and middle finger)
After using the longshot for so long, I sometimes try to push the reloading mechanism and fumble (my con)

I got this toy for raking the leaves and it is great! The darts travel far (but not 30 feet like it says on the box). The darts are very sticky on the front, and the gun is lightweight. If you are looking for an excellent nerf gun, then look no more! It comes with 8 darts, and has 4 dart holders on either side. The barrel lights up with just 1 short flash each time you pull the trigger. overall, I love this gun and I am sure you will too! I liked the shape of the nerf gun and the extra slot for carrying replacement darts. Non nerf typer were usable which was cheaper i fyou aren't uising the lite up glow in the dark feature. Batteries are needed to power the light up feature which charges the glow strips on the darts. It was cool to shoot them in the dark but each firing still requires you to re cock the mechanism. overall really fun but a true multiple semi auto feature would have been coolerCustomer Review: Great Gun with Simple Modification!!

First thing that you notice about this gun is the lack of power and misfire prone ammo. Additionally it's a pain to wrap the darts in glow in the dark paper the potentially hinders performance. I ended up buying the 30 pack of Tagger Micro Darts and modified their length to get the darts to rotate in the barrel. The result is a far and fast shooting gun with velcro tips. Love the idea of the glow in the dark ammo, but the ammo still has some issues.
