I think this is a great toy for little ones. The bullet things they shoot are soft and don't hurt if you get hit. There is a target to aim for which is good for hand eye coordination, depth perception, and problem solving skills. The child has to learn to be steady and patient to get the bulls eye. Kids can compete for scores. AND it's easy to clean up and put away when you're not using it.
This is good for a first step before purchasing the dart tag if your child isn't comforatable with other kids shooting at them. The target keeps them from shooting each other - most the time!
I don't let my kids use this unsupervised, but it seems pretty safe if you'd like to do so if age appropriate.
