Customer Review: Fun at Heart

First off: Don't try holding this. I have better results sitting it down. It won't slide around and lets you move the stick like an arcade machine.
Galaga is the best port on here. My only complaint is that it's harder to rapid fire/RF can't be turned on.
Mappy can be confusing, but it's fun.
Xevious is tough, but also fun.
Pole Posistion can be challenging to get the hang of, but it's one of the best arcade racers from the earlier days of gaming.
MPM is fine by itself. True that the ghosts don't follow you, but this is off of the original version. The arcade boards of that time couldn't handle that much AI.
Just like their original version, these games would take time to build up skill. But you'd stick around, because you'd be addicted. This is the closest you'll get to buying an arcade machine.

I received the Namco II: Ms Pac-Man with 5 TV Games and the Pac-Man with 5 TV Games. I love playing Pac-Man and Ms. Pac-Man, but the controllers are too hard to operate. You have to push and pull too hard on the stick. With the old Atari joystick, I could at least get to the banana, and the movement of the stick was easy, easy, easy. That is not the case with the new longer stick. Also, the boxes are square, which make it hard to hold.
I love the concept of the TV version. This is a great idea, but the joy sticks are terrible. Every time I try to play, I get frustrated; my hands hurt from holding the stick and box. Maneuverability is terrible, terrible, terrible.
Just in case you think that maybe this is an isolated case,my daughter works at a large retail store. She said people were returning them for the reasons I have stated.

I must admit first off I found myself more impressed than let down. I never tought these games would look and play so much like the arcade versions it blew me away. However, two major flaws came in arcade remaster perfections way. Sadly my atari has a better joystick than this sad to say for a product retailing at 30 dollars. The button isn't very responsive and it takes many trys to fire. Secondly it takes batteries when it really doesn't need to. Worst yet they are 6 Volt batteries where can you even buy those? If namco were going to make such a cheap joystick they should have made it a system and provided different joysticks. However what really makes this never the less a four star is these games are exactly like the arcade! However, I would reccommend getting the pocket version it got a better rating probably cause the Joystick is better via la Pac-man!Customer Review: JAKKS JOYSTICK SUCKKS!

Just received my Ms.PacMan tv game today... Talk about a BIG DISAPPOINTMENT! The joystick works great with Galaga & Xevious; but for Ms. Pac Man (the primary game I bought this for), the joystick is utterly useless! It is complete inaccurate and it doesn't go where you want it to go. The main problem is that the joystick is a 8-way joystick and not a 4-way joystick like the original game. 4-way is up,left,right,down. However, 8-way joysticks have notches in the positions between those; often causing the stick to get stuck in an invalid position and ms.pacman not moving...
I can't believe that Jakks released this with such a cruddy joystick! I returned this.
My recommendation is DO NOT GET THIS! Their pac-man game is good b/c it actually has a 4-way joystick, but not so with ms pac man. :-(

It would have been a 5 star if Ms. Pacman's contoler didn't stink. Buy it! It's worth the money!
