Customer Review: THE ULTIMATE NERF GUN

Once I read about this nerf gun, I just had to get it. Originally for my nephew, he had a little trouble holding it (He's still five) so it has remained in my care for the time being. I can't tell you how much fun it is to shoot 3 darts/ second at an unsuspecting sibling or parent. (just make sure to aim low so you don't shoot them in the face)

As mentioned, sometimes the ammo box does come loose upon being banged into something but the fact that it hasn't broken has impressed me more than the fact that it comes loose and falls off.
If you like nerf guns, this one is a definite "MUST BUY" item.

Let me start by saying that this gun was not bought for an adult who plays with it at the office. Give me a break, at my "office" I work 12 hour shifts doing back breaking labor. No, I took a radical approach and bought this gun for my son for christmas.
From the start the ammo box would not stay locked into place. The nerf bullets easily slip out of the belt when trying to load. Misfires one out of three times.
Bottom line what looked really cool in the box turned out to be a big let down for my son. Nerf, get it right or dont bother making it.
PS>If this review helps to keep this "toy" out of anyone elses home then I will feel as if I have done a good deed.

Bought our Nerf N-Strike Vulcan at Amazon in Nov. for a Christmas present for my 12 year old. We got the value pack, with the extra ammo belt and strap. This gun is amazing! It is the first thing our children play with everytime they have a friend over. They choose it over the WII, which says something about any toy. The strap is a nice feature because of the size of this thing. My 9 year old has his hands full when he fires it Rambo style. It has taken a few spills and been operated by no less than 20 boys and is still working perfectly. My only complaint is that it is so good, that it out guns any other Nerf Gun. I bought this for my son and he loved it. Actually, I bought it for myself so my son could play with it. It is so much fun. He also doesn't mind picking up all the Nerf darts either.
Get the value pack if you can find it at Target. [...] and you get 2 belts and 50 darts. The regular kit only has 1 belt and 25 darts for the same price.
If you want it to shoot further, you can search on Yahoo for "Nerf Vulcan Mods". Doing the mod on the belt gets you almonst 20% increase in range.
All I can say it is super fun. Brings out the kid in all of us.

Bought it for my son who "earnt" a big piece of parental love at a school music recital.
We live in Australia so this unit took some serious effort to get it here.
It was worth the effort he loves it and it is a seriously cool toy, the only downside is the lack of darts available locally. Countdown to 0 darts has begun! (down to 45 left after ~3weeks).
Upside is it will use most other Nerf darts including the "Velcro tagger" darts that would make it a formidable opponent in dart tag matches.
