Toys and Games Reviews of My Little Pony Ponyville Deluxe PlaysetCustomer Review: Utterly cool for kids, like the Pony amusement park but smaller Summary: 5 Stars
Great fun - this is like the bigger pony park, but smaller and more compact. My kids adore this set and we got it for one of the birthdays - the ponyville village is getting pretty big now - but it is all inter-related, and this totally cool set goes really well with the latest stuff.
This has tickets and slides, a ferris wheel and lots of great sounds. It blends with the latest amusement park style stuff (the popcorn picture theatre, the bumper cars and the clown figures.
You can buy this set on its own, but I would advise buying a few more ponies to play in it - you really need a few to populate these games. But there is lots to do in this and keeps my kids really amused
The thing I love most about these sets is that they are so hardwearing. We have had some of them a few years, and they have been pretty battered about by my three year old at the time, They get sat on, dragged about and generally put through the ringer. They don't fall apart easily and their colours stay bright and fresh.
A great fun buy and highly recommended
Customer Review: Cute Idea; but Ferris Wheel is only played with part Summary: 3 Stars
Got this for my (then 3 1/2) yr old; she is 5 now and she still LOVES my little pony, she rarely if ever plays with this toy anymore. It takes up a lot of space b/c the pieces are large and wont' really fit nicely on any shelves in her room, has to be on the floor. The roller coaster is cute, but only fun for a few times, if anything they should have expanded on that. The little sundae type concession stand is cute, but I think my kids played with it only once or twice. Unnecessary boring item in my opinion. The ferris wheel is pretty cool, the ponies do tend to fall out of it while its moving though, but both my girls still love putting them in there and playing the music and watching it go around. We've had it for 2 years now and nothing is broken, just rarely played with.
I believe they sell the ferris wheel by itself, and personally, we think that is the best part. I wouldn't buy the whole set all over again if I had the chance, I"d save my money and just by the ferris wheel and some other pony accessories.
Customer Review: Lots of fun Summary: 5 Stars
Your kids might loose the little accessories but the set is real durable. The colors are so bright and cheerful. my daughter just loves ponies right now. she got this set for Christmas. I didn't know The ferris wheel had music until it arrived and I was inspecting it. My daughter doesn't like the Ice cream thing much even after i told her thats where the ponies go to buy tickets and get food, nope, she takes her ponies "home" to check the mail for ride tickets. she still drags it out and puts it near the two rides though
I'd like thank whoever it was that suggested getting a few more ponies I got a little set of ponies with this because my daughter only had three and a few other ones from the Happy meals. Now our set it real busy with ponies going on all the rides.
Customer Review: Really cute and lots of fun! Summary: 5 Stars
I bought this for my 5 year old daughter for Christmas. It is super cute and adorable. It comes with the ferris wheel that really turns and plays a song, the roller coaster which is so much fun and the ice cream shop. It also has a small boat hanging on the bottom. The little car on the roller coaster really stays on and falls down for lots of fun. My daughter loves this set and has played with it a lot. It only comes with 1 pony so you may want to get some extra ponies so it won't be lonely in the park or your child can use other small dolls they may already have to play with it. I also bought the bumper cars set that comes seperately, but had 2 more ponies and a bunch of small pieces to add along and my daughter loved it all. I recommend this for any toddler over age 3.
Customer Review: On every 4-yr-old's list! Summary: 4 Stars
My daughter just got this for her 5th birthday. She's had her eye on it since it came out and she has not been disappointed! The ferris wheel gets the most play (be sure to take it out of demo mode). Fortunately, she already owned enough little ponies to fill it and then some. I'd recommend getting a pack of extra ponies to make the ferris wheel worth while. It only comes with 1 pony - a set of this size should really at least have 2. My only complaint is that the ponies tend to be front-heavy in the ferris wheel and the "cars" therefore tend to tip. She also loves the rollar coaster but doesn't bother with the ice cream shop. We have to put away the tiny pieces because of little brothers.
