You would think all memory games are created equal, but even for adults this particular memory game can the tough to play. The problem is, the designers have way overused the images of Dora, Boots and Diego on these cards. For example, there are about 10 different matches that have Dora on them. (e.g. Dora as a Pirate, Dora the Princess, Dora on a Unicorn, Dora with flowers, Dora playing soccer, Dora running, Dora jumping, Dora with Boots, etc.)
With this type of setup, it's tough to get your brain to remember all these "similar" cards with small differences, and it's especially hard for little minds. I would have rather have seen unique characters/things across all cards, and there are plenty of other images they COULD have use, but they didn't. I've ended up playing with a smaller number of cards that don't have all the repeating images.

Hola! It's the classic Memory game with an adventurous twist. Just flip over the colorful Dora-themed cards, two at a time, to make a match. Make the most matching pairs and you win the game. No reading required to play.Memory games are a simple, low-tech way for children to strengthen their mental muscles while having fun at the same time. This 72-card set features characters from the popular animated kids program Dora the Explorer, including Dora, her best friend Boots the monkey, Swiper the fox, and her relatively recently introduced pal Diego. There?s a holding case but no game board is included or necessary. One to two players can play the game and it?s a great way for young children to test their minds and just to learn how games are played.
