Endless fun. When we first got a similar alien kit, I thought it was going to be messy and take forever. The alien molds get pressed into a playdoh type material, you squirt the 'goo' in and then in about 3-5 minutes you have an alien... I put that it is educational, becuase you practice sequencing, practice colors, experiment with different colors/alien shapes... great for stretching the imagination.Customer Review: Best Christmas Toy Yet

I was really shocked that this extra "add on" present was the big hit it was with my kids. It is a PERFECT toy, with an adorable storage ship that holds everything. My kids have had such fun making aliens and it doesn't make a huge mess like other similar toys. You can't beat this toy for any child 4 and up. I just bought several of these for gifts. One of the kids I bought it for may be allergic to wheat. Well, little did I know that when I actually received this item, on the back of the box it states that it contains wheat. Who'd have thought!!! Martian Matter is reminiscent of those rubbery bugs you could mold way back when. Now there is no heat. Use the mud to make a mold cavity from the plastic positive molds. Then pour in the lava goo. Let sit 5 minutes, and you have alien bugs. There is enough lava goo to make about 100 aliens and plenty of molds to mix and match to make many variations.Customer Review: Get Creepy Crawlers

My daughter really wanted this for Christmas. I had read reviews that this is a good replacement for Creepy Crawlers. I was quite disappointed. There is NO lifespan for your creatures. It was fun for the kids to play with at first. But, not something you can really play with or have long term. We'll go get Creepy Crawlers.
