Toys and Games Reviews of Martian Matter Mega SetCustomer Review: Occupied all 3 boys - my 7 yr old, and 5 and 8 yr old nephews Summary: 4 Stars
after reading several reviews on this site before buying two of these sets, one for my son and the other for my 8 yr old nephew. I am pleased to say that this play set gives all 3 boys plenty of creative and fun play. They like the idea of "making martians" and this was on their Christmas wish list. My 7 year old still plays with his, which actually means, this toy withstood up to the 1 week challenge (meaning if he plays with it after 1 week, then he truly likes it).
Customer Review: All three of my nephews loved it! Summary: 5 Stars
I purchased this as Christmas gifts for all three of my nephews (ages 11, 9, and 8). I was a bit worried that they would be too old for it, but they loved it. They all three had their packages open and were creating aliens at the kitchen table within minutes after opening it. They were able to do it themselves and it kept them entertained for hours. My 5 year old daughter was quite jealous, so it looks like she will be getting a kit for her upcoming birthday.
Customer Review: Great set! Summary: 5 Stars
Since about a year now the Martian Matter is our favorite gift to give and it has always been a big hit. Finally, this Christmas my daughter got her own set. She (5) and her little brother (2) love to play with it. This is actually a bigger set and great fun! Couldn't believe the price. I bought three sets, one for my daughter and two for future gift giving. Eight dollars and free shipping - can't beat that. Thank you, Amazon!
Customer Review: It is fun for as long it lasts! Summary: 3 Stars
The toy is desirable and quite fun to begin with. My kids, 7 and 10, played every evening for three-four days and laughed a lot making funny Martians. Then the set stayed on the table for another two weeks but they did not touch it anymore. The novelty and the materials were gone. It is a consumable toy literally and figuratively speaking, so if you consider that $20 bucks are worth the short fun, give in and buy it.
Customer Review: Not Interested After One Round Summary: 2 Stars
My kids were excited to make martians. They squirted all of the goo and they were closely supervised to prevent any goo mishaps. When the martains were done drying, the kids were disappointed because they didn't look like much. Most of them looked like blobs. They were not interested in them anymore and they are not interested in making more. My kids are 3, 5 and 7, so maybe they are too young for this toy.
