My daughter (8 yrs.) received some Littlest Pet Shop toys for Christmas last year and they're the one thing she's played with pretty consistently throughout the year. I ordered her the ten pack for Christmas this year and she was tickled with it. No, we didn't receive the set pictured but it's not a big deal. I buy them for my kid to play with, not to collect. She was enchanted with the spider and chinchilla. I do have to admit - those suckers are cute. I highly recommend these for girls growing bored with Barbie!Customer Review: Not what you order

Thankfully my daughter loves LPS. She really wanted the pony and the seahorse, but I think in receiving the purple spider(that came in the pack we got)she put to the back of her mind that those 2 were not a part of what came. Lucky for her Santa brought her the Biggest Littlest Petshop that came with the seahorse and a few others she wanted. These little animals are great, but it requires the use of scissors or a knife to free them from their packaging. Each one is well strapped in to the case. Use caution removing, as the tethers are hidden on some and you could damage the animal getting it loose. Also, some of the items have little straps that are used to hold them onto the animals (hats, etc.)- do not cut those. An adult will need to remove each item.Customer Review: great starter kit!

This is a wonderful way to jump-start a new collection or enhance an established one. My daughter freaked when she got this, and I highly recommend it as a gift. My son also enjoys playing with the animals, and it has been something fun for them to do together. The animals have been surprisingly durable and have never broken in any way.Customer Review: Great find

This one if you can get it for the good price is a really cool set. Don't look at the photo, it's not what it is. Other reviews will probably tell you what it has, but my kids didn't care, you get a massive amount of pets in one great package. That's all it matters. Quality is great, just like all LPS stuff.
