This was bought for my 4.5 year old daughter for Christmas. She opened it, was very excited about it and by the time my wife was done opening it up and getting the pieces out, she had lost interest.
To this day she hasn't touched the Littlest Pet Shop toys.
My 10 month old son likes them, but they have pieces too small for him and so he can't play with them.
Beyond the "Oh, look how cute" factor, there's not much to this toy.

I bought this item about 2 weeks ago for my daughter for Christmas. If you buy these in the stores separately you will usually pay about $5 for 1 Littlest Pet with accessories or 2 for $5 with little or no accessories. This item was on sale for only $12 on Amazon, which was a great deal. I've noticed that the price is up to about $59, probably because it's so close to Christmas. They were exactly as shown. I was very satisfied.Customer Review: Little pets caused a lot of joy.

I bought this as a gift and it was received with joy. Lots of excitement over all the choices. I'm glad I bought this 10 pack in addition to the Littlest Pet Shop so she had more pets to choose from.
The pets are well made and look like they should last a long time. The case may not hang in there as long (especially the handle), but is as well made as most cases of this type.

My daughter loves the Littlest Pet Shop toys, but I wince every time she wants to buy them, as they are a bit pricey for a little plastic toy. This collection was such a (relatively) great deal, I thought there might be a catch, but it really is 10 pets with a few extras like the hanging nest thrown in. For my 4 year old who has TONS of LPS toys, this was a nice back where she only already had 1 out of the 10 it came with! They were all very cute and she added them to her huge collection.
I think littlest pet shop toys are great for all little girls. Something about how little they are that they just love and can play with for hours!
