I don't own these (as they are not out yet), but I've played with some of the early production models. They are fun! If you are like me, the TV game option will get little use (if any) and for you parents out there -- this thing is excellent exercise for those couch potato kids you might have! Instead of play games on the console/PC, play for real outside in the back yard, at your local park, or start up a club!
I am a little biased towards these things as I have some of the previous gear (Lazer Tag Team Ops, LTTO for short) and the previous gear rocks and both the LTX and LTTO work together.
Quite simple -- I am excited to get my hands on a few of these!

This is a great toy for my two boys ages 10 and 7. At first I was thinking the money put out for this would be all for not, and the toys would end up with all the others in the closet unused. Not these lazer taggers... one of the best gifts Santa ever brought. IT gets the kids out of the house and playing with friends, gets them exercise and teaches them strategics and how to work together on a team. Yes it is a lot of money for a kid toy, but money well spent! Parts are durable but just like any other toy they should be cared for if you want them to last. I highly recommend buying two extra taggers so 4 can play.. much more fun!! I recommend this product!Customer Review: Great Product

After reading the reviews, decided to pick up 2 of the laser guns for the kids for their birthday (7, 9 ... girl, boy). Since opening, they've been playing it all weekend. I've even gotten caught up in it. Very well made, solid, really cool sound effects and feedback (strength meter, ammo meter, different force feedback when firing shotgun and rifle modes). I'm back online today to pick up 4 more guns. Forget the kids ... our next get-together, the kids are watching a movie and the adults are playing 6-person laser tag in the dark. If you're on the fence as to whether or not this is the one to purchase, I can assure you that you will not be disappointed.Customer Review: Outdoor Fun!

The guns are well-made, simple to use, and provide a good alternative to what might be an otherwise boring workout routine! What's really nice is that they are backward compatible with earlier models of Hasbro Lazer Tag weapons. I play with a small group about once per month, and are able to use all models without compatibility issues. While having two guns is fun by itself, you may want to consider picking up two sets of these to make gameplay even more exciting. Finally, though each weapon can be set to play two teams against each other, if one places the sliding switch between team 1 and team 2, you can accommodate a third team!Customer Review: Best gift this holiday season

You've seen it happen before, 13 year old gets a gift and all the adults take it before the kid is done unwrapping it. Well that's what happpened with this and they wouldn't even let the kid play with it.
Game is simply amazing and fun.
You only need a gun to play so you just pick it up and start the game, no hats or detection to wear.
Shotgun attachment is great
Shield option on the gun brings a new element and strategy
scope has a light on it for easy aiming.
Most importantly, the game is balanced, one gun is not stronger than the other, it's difficult to cheat.
