Toys and Games Reviews of LAZERTAG Multiplayer Battle SystemCustomer Review: Fun for All Summary: 4 Stars
Our kids (an 11 year old boy and 7.5 year old girl) couldn't decide what they wanted for Christmas (can you imagine?) from their Great Uncle Mike, so I had them browse Amazon and they found this!
It is unbelievably fun and good exercise for the whole family. Hubby and I tried it out one night after the kids were in bed and we had a blast, literally! Our daughter's become quite the marksman. They both received gift cards to a toy store and they both agreed that they want another set so we can all play together!
The only 2 drawbacks: the video game module isn't compatible with our television, and the system takes 12 batteries to operate (time to invest in rechargables). Other than that, it's a lot of fun and we really enjoy playing!
Customer Review: It's a blast! Summary: 5 Stars
Our 6 and 9 year old boys received this as their big gift for Christmas and we've had a blast with it inside and out. The 6 year old had no problem catching on and beating his older brother. Last night, the temperature was 34 degrees but we were having too much fun outside in the dark to notice how cold it was! Plug for Walgreens - a week of heavy use and the Walgreen batteries I put inside are lasting just fine! As the mom of the house, I think I will request a pair of laser guns for my birthday so we can all play. I'm sure the neighbors thought we were crazy last night but it was great exercise! We have not tried to hook them up to the computer (we own no wiis, xboxes, etc.) as we intend for this to be a toy for them to use outside.
Customer Review: fun for the whole generation Summary: 5 Stars
im a college student, and i wanted to go back to the days of 'ol and buy a lazertag set. as a general rule of thumb, these things are either very cheap, or very expensive. these taggers are in the middle of the price ranges i saw, and despite my misgivings, i bought em anyways. they are perfect. im 6'0 and my girlfriend is 5'2, and we use these all the time. great sounds, accuracy actually matters, solid construction=alot of fun. i havent tried them outdoors yet, but thats just because im scared someone will jack them ;). as a gift for children->do it! a kid's dream. as a gift for a 20 yr old-> do it! never too late to have fun. as a gift for 80 yr olds-> unless they can turn on a computer, DONT DO IT! my dad couldnt even turn his on.
Customer Review: Best out Hands Down! Summary: 5 Stars
As others have mentioned, this set is amazing. We purchased two sets of them for our kids for Christmas this year (08). Without renaming all of the great features, I will reiterate the fact that these guns are very well made. Each component fits together so smoothly and has positive locking points. The guns feel solid and are very well finished. I went through each of the sets and tested the features. These are far superior to the taggers of past. When I was younger I got my first set of Lazertag guns in around 1987. My friends and I used them every night for about 2 years. Tons of fun. I look forward to my children sharing in that excitement. Not to mention I GET TO PLAY TOO!
Customer Review: Fun Toy! Summary: 5 Stars
Bought this set for my son and I. We have a blast playing with them. Highly recommend these taggers if you are into this sort of thing.
We did have to replace the first set though. The gold shot blast attachment was defective, in that it would never register more than one tag. At first I contacted Hasbro to see if they could just replace that part. They said I would have to send the whole set back, after they sent me a postage paid mailing label. Instead of that I sent it back to Amazon postage free, since it was defective. Amazon sent me a replacement in three days. With Hasbro it would have taken over a month. So I'm quite pleased with Amazon's service in this instance.
