Toys and Games Reviews of LAZERTAG Multiplayer Battle SystemCustomer Review: Do not buy until you read this, fixed stuck clip, save money Summary: 5 Stars
You can buy this entire system at Wallmart for 69.00, video game, and rifle included.
Two years ago I bought the set at K-mart for 150.00, included warrenty for 1yr.
these things are awesome, my 4,7,9 yr old and the wife and I played with them all the time.
they sat for 6-7 months and we have been playing them again for the last couple of months.
Both indoor and outdoor settings work great.
I have seen some complaints about the clip being hard to use, release is hard to push and the clip will not drop. I had the same problem, i took the gun apart (not hard to do, just remove ALL screws from the one side, even the ones by the red "hit dome". you can fold one part over the top, I has a small sticky point at the top front of the gun, again no big deal just slide a small screw driver and separate.
the clip is released by the small thumb triggers on either side of the gun, it is spring operated (you will see this and is very simple too understand) all i did was put some 3 in one oil at the spot that holds the clip from falling, and used my flathead screwdriver to scrape both edges so not such a sharp edge. it works so smooth and fast now and has been almost two months with no problem.
This realy is not hard to fix, so simple once you take a look.
Customer Review: Okay, look... Summary: 2 Stars
I was so happy when I first got this toy. I bought it over the internet, and waited days for it. I've had two other laser tag systems and I thought that I had finally found the perfect one. It has all kinds of features such as recoil (which is more of a vibrate), pop out core (read on, there is a problem with it), and other things. The guns go far BUT there is a problem.
The first time, one of them stoped firing. It would make the sound, but would not "fire" anything. I had to buy a new one. The second one I got was the "Nerf" version without the attachments because my attachments still worked. It was fun and I even organized a laser tag club.
One day, I was playing with my friend, and I reloaded. The pop-out ammo core would not go back in. So that one broke, and now I am writing this review. I realized something strange, though. The one that stopped firing AND the one that wouldn't recload WERE BOTH BLUE.
I'm not saying that the blue ones are bad or the orange ones are good. I'm just stating that that's what happened. It's just something to consider. My guess is that most of the good reviews are by people who just bought it and by now their guns probably don't work either. Just red this before you buy it.
Customer Review: Fantastic toy for kids and adults alike Summary: 5 Stars
This toy is fantastic for kids and adults alike. Everything to set up a game is by switches on the toy, choose your strength of 10 or 25, choose team 1 or team 2 to play team games or choose solo for everyone versus everyone, press the trigger, wait for the count down and you are good to go.
They include a very accurate green dot site as well as vibrations to let you know when you are hit and a recoil with each shot you fire for real feeling. The grip is very ergodynamic for both adults and kids. Adults won't find it too small, and kids won't find it too big.
The shotblast attachment allows you to set up a shot gun type shot that allows you to hit multiple people if they are in close range to you or hit a single person with multiple tags.
Unlike other tagging systems in the past, this system actually works remarkably well on indoor mode. The risk of getting "bounce shots" off of walls with this system is relatively low. The game can also be set to outdoor mode. On outdoor mode you can tag other players up to 300 feet away in full sunlight.
I encourage anyone who is looking at getting lasertag toys for their kids or adults looking for a new sport to purchase these toys. You won't regret it.
Customer Review: Best Consumer Grade Laser Tag Possible! - Recommended! Summary: 5 Stars
The "Lasertag Multiplayer Battle System" is by far the best consumer grade Laser Tag we have ever seen! Having tried many laser tag systems over the years, and always being disappointed with the range or accuracy, I only had marginal hopes that this system would prove any better but this time I was pleasantly surprised with the options, quality, and performance.
The features found in this system rival those in the "professional" Laser Tag arena my son (12), daughter (16), wife (47), and I (44) play a few times a month. Highlights include:
* Great Accuracy
* Great Range
* Team Play (very cool feature!)
* Rumble Pack (provides vibration feedback)
* Hit Selector (evens out the odds when play with less experienced opponents)
* Manual "Reload" (another very cool feature adding realism)
The system is also a video game as the gun can also be attached to a video unit and connected to a TV (old style tube TV, not Plasma or LCD). The game play is OK and fun, but shouldn't be the reason to buy this system.
We liked this so much that we ended up buying two sets (total of 4 guns) and are considering buying another set so we have more players!
Highly recommended!
