Customer Review: One of the best new transformers, but read my review first.

This is one of the best transformers from the new line of toys.
It looks just like the picture, pretty awesome looking if you ask me.
But there are a few things you have to keep in mind:
1. It's not as cool as the original Jetfire toy. Some may disagree but the original toy felt sturdier, heavier, had more metal and less plastic.
2. It's definitively not worth $100 or more. I don't know what the real price should be, but to give you a rough idea, I paid $40 for it back in January 2008. For $100 or more you might as well get Masterpiece Optimus Prime or Masterpiece Starscream which are collector pieces.
So if you find it decently priced, go ahead and buy it, you will love this toy. But make sure the price is right.

Jetfire/Skyfire has always been my favorite, so this one's just great to have. Pretty sturdy as far as construction goes, so heavy play isn't a problem, but trying to stand him up on his own with that jetpack attached requires a little skill. I wish he was a bit bigger, as Jetfire was just enormous in the actual show, but you can't have everything. Probably one of my favorite features on this are the eyes: they're clear blue plastic straight through to the back of the head, so when backlit, the eyes glow. Awesome! Pretty simple to transform back and forth between robot and jet, maybe a little TOO easy for some, but all around this is just an awesome toy.Customer Review: Jetfire...finally a propper new Jetfire!

This thing was $20 new, and is worth every penny. The design and transformation are very satisfying. jetfire is also very poseable and makes a great display piece to guard your laptop from Decepticons.
Around where I live, he is VERY hard, if not impossible to find...so if you find him, don't hesitate and get him NOW! He will double in price very soon, so strike while he is relatively affordable.
This is easily the best Classics figure.
Get it for yourself or someone you love, you/they will NOT regret it.
Just a magnificent figure!

Jetfire/Skyfire from Transformers is a very calm, intelligent scientist who was around during the Golden Age of Cybertron. I enjoyed his G1 character (Skyfire) and was happy to find a toy that does a good job in representing his cartoon form. He is quite sturdy and is still holding stiff joints after a number of transformations. His face is calm and passive and captures his character well. Adults and children alike can enjoy this product since he holds together well and shouldn't break with normal handling. He looks very nice displayed either in spaceship form or as a robot.Customer Review: Awesome toy for the money

I purchased this for my son's fifth birthday - he opened it up today and has been playing with it for four hours nonstop.. The transformation process is relatively simple and it's pretty durable for a child's toy!
Even when a few peices snap loose, they go right back on with no problems. Very few parts detach - less to lose or misplace.
HIGHLY recommend to anyone looking for durable and non-frustrating transformer toys!
