Customer Review: Whoa this is not the game you remember as a child

I wish I had come here and read the reviews before buying. I am HUGELY disappointed with this toy. Its one of the only things my 5 year old asked for for Christmas. This thing is soo cheaply made, its like a child asking for a remote control jet and getting a paper airplane. Its made of dramatically light weight plastic. The hippos have been cutseyed up. The marbles are plastic which makes them bounce around and off the board. The hippos themselves are flimsey and just do not work. The springs in the tail lock up, the heads do not rise up, the necks stick out. It is just such a huge disappointment compared to the game I had as a child.
But to me the worst part is that once the game is assembled, its about 25% larger than the box it came in. I could over look the cheapness of it and the poor game play because my 5 year old loved it and does not know any difference. But once its assembled, you can NOT NOT NOT store it in the box. The only way to put it back is to completely disassemble it, which requires you snap back out the flimsy plastic pieces. If I did that I would give this game a shelf life of a month as these pieces will just break right off. So now I have this big game and all these little marbles and no way to store it. Thanks Hasbro ..
Here is the thing - I think I paid $11 for this on sale. I would have happily paid $15-20 for it IF it was the game I remembered as a child, well made, heavy marbles and storable. They totally cut quality for a Walmart price.
Save your money and buy the real thing off of Ebay.
