Toys and Games Reviews of Hulk Smash HandsCustomer Review: HULK SMASH AWESOMENESS! Summary: 5 Stars
I bought these as a gift for my boyfriend (27 years old going on 10) and they were an absolute hit!
The hands looked fantastic, feel comfortable to wear and overall made everyone laugh. The fact that the audio is only in one hand is also wonderful. My boyfriend can still eat/drink with one hand, and the other is ready for anything.
The thing I love is that they are soft and light so when there is the occasional skin to hand contact, they are surprisingly cushy. The audio is at times a little distorted due to the tiny speaker but there is no mistaking the "You're making me angry", "You won't like me when I'm angry", "Hulk Smash" and then the various crash sounds.
Even now a month or so after his birthday, they still get pulled out on occasion and has been a humerus way to let off steam after a tuff day at work. They are addictive and I have to say, I bought these as a gift for him, but I love them too!
I'm so happy with these hands. They are everything I'd hoped. I'd definitely recommend them to anyone who likes to channel their inner child. They are truly awesome.
Customer Review: Awesome!!!!! Summary: 5 Stars
Who cares about education when you have an active four year old that loves superheroes. I have spent so much money in educational toys that end up in corners and covered by dust once they come out of the box. I bought these fists for my 4 year old several months ago and they are still one of his favorites. He simply loves them. This is old-fashioned fun and a soft, safe toy for a preschooler to burn some energy and play pretend. I was sure they would stop working after a few days of punches. Six months later (and countless punches), the batteries and sensors still work like a charm and the fabric is like on day one. This means kid-proof, quality material! Do not see this often. Now my own secret: they are so much fun that I started using them to throw a few punches onto my husband's boxing bag. Well, somehow, punching with these soft fists while hearing Hulk's 'Me getting angry' is the best stress-relief valve after a long day at work. Awesome!
Customer Review: Hulk Smash Hands Summary: 5 Stars
I bought the Hulk Smash hands for my 4 and 6 year old nephews. If I were to be completely honest, when I received them and saw and heard how much fun they were, I was reticent to send them on to them for Christmas. I guess alot of us are still little kids, just larger in mass. Anyway, Amazon provided excellent service and when I reminded my brother not to leave the power switch in the "on" position, as not to run down the batteries, he replied with his typical dry humor, "that might be a good thing!" So they must be a hit! The kids love super heroes and although the only lower ratings were related to "educational" reviews from other buyers, on the Amazon website, I do think that they are educational in the sense that they help with hand/eye coordination, reaction time, and precision in a safe, soft venue.
Customer Review: Love them! Summary: 5 Stars
I bought these for a Christmas gift for my nephew. Other kids know what's in the package and they constantly go and bump the wrapped gift to hear the "roar" or whatever else the say. It's really funny how they wait until I'm in another room then I hear an unexpected "ROAR" coming from the den!
It's my own fault! When I received the giant hands, they had a plastic pull tag to activate them. Of course, I had to pull the tag. I like to make sure that the gifts I give actually work. I hate giving a gift to learn that it is broken when they receive it!
For anyone who has owned a pair of Hulk Hands, these are not foam. They're more like a really firm pillow. Personally, I like them MUCH better. They are more snug for small hands.
Customer Review: Hulk Smash not as good as Thing hands Summary: 2 Stars
Having purchased both The Thing hands and, now, these Hulk hands I can write accurately that one set is far better than they other. The Hulk hands are softer than The Thing hands and don't make you feel all that powerful, or Hulk-like. The Thing hands were made of a spongy foam, which lent some needed heft to them. Also, when you put your hands into the Hulk hands, there's an annoying little "bar" you need to grip. So, you hands are curled almost inside the wrist portion of the hands, which is awkward. The Thing hands were much snugger and allowed your hands to actually reach deep into the fist portion of the glove.
Bottom line: skip these and see if you can find The Thing hands.
