Any toy my high-sprited five year old boy doesn't break within minutes of owning gets my respect. He even sits on the trailer and "rides" it. Optimus is easy to transform, and will launch a foam dart clean across a house, with an awesome whooshing noise. Do yourself a favor and purchase some replacement darts right off the bat. They are slighty larger than the standard foam dart, so getting them from Hasbro might be your best bet.
UPDATE-- Optimus is now out of commision. The boy who is now six managed to break to firing mechanism. I emailed Hasbro in February to get some replacement darts when it did work; they suggested I look on the replacement parts page of which I was already aware of and contains nearly a thousand items. I emailed them back asking for more specific assistance and have not receieved any reply. Toy is still played with as a truck.

About Transformers
