Toys and Games Reviews of Hasbro Power Tour Electric Guitar (Black)Customer Review: Fun Little Guitars Summary: 4 Stars
My girls recieved these guitars for Christmas 08. My 8 year old had asked for a real guitar but we decided to try this product first. They were a hit. They have nice sound, they play right out of the box, and they have enough diversity to keep them interested. My 7 year old recieved the white one which was less costly - i got it for 19.99 before the Christmas rush- it is exactly the same as the black one for which i paid 34.99. Go figure. For the price i paid and the happiness of my girls i am satisfied with this purchase.
Customer Review: Great for all ages! Summary: 5 Stars
This is a big hit in my home. My 13 year old, 12 year old, 5 year old, and even my husband all love it. It's fun for the younger kids, yet challenging for the older ones. The sound is great and it plays like a real guitar. There is a volume knob on front and it gets pretty loud without the amp, but it can be played somewhat quietly too. I love the fact that you don't have to be hooked to a tv - you can take it anywhere and play it. They are having fun and really learning too. Great product!
Customer Review: YOU CAN'T GO WRONG WITH THIS GUITAR Summary: 5 Stars
We purchased this guitar for our son, after getting and returning the Fisher-Price I can play Guitar Fisher-Price I Can Play Guitar System. What a dissapointment that system was. Our son HAS NOT put this guitar down. Best of all it is easy to use and FUN FUN FUN. My husband even says the learning mode is fun and easy to use as well. Add the amp. and it's even more fun. Also can't beat the price!
Customer Review: best gift ever! Summary: 5 Stars
I found this guitar at a yard sale. I had no idea what it was about, but thought my son would like it for his birthday. Two days later, my son turned 5 and ended up with the best gift ever. He LOVES playing his new guitar and likes to have people dance when he plays. He doesn't quite understand the whole thing yet, but he's learning quickly. It's a bit above him, but it's still a great toy for him. "Rock on, Mommy" is what I've heard out of his mouth. LOL!
Customer Review: For a toy, it's difficult! Summary: 3 Stars
The guitar is well packaged and seems very sturdy. It's much harder than anticipated and both my 9 year old and 12 year old are very frustrated with it. The "jam" mode is quite fun and appreciated or we would have had a Holiday flop. The guitar is very unintuitive and very hard to play in the learn mode, etc. Not for the impatient or very young. I give it a thumbs up based slowly on jam mode, you can actually play songs on it that are recognizable.
