Toys and Games Reviews of Hasbro Power Tour Electric Guitar (Black)Customer Review: Fun Little Guitars Summary: 4 StarsMy girls recieved these guitars for Christmas 08. My 8 year old had asked for a real guitar but we decided to try this product first. They were a hit. They have nice sound, they play right out of the box, and they have enough diversity to keep them interested. My 7 year old recieved the white one which was less costly - i got it for 19.99 before the Christmas rush- it is exactly the same as the black one for which i paid 34.99. Go figure. For the price i paid and the happiness of my girls i am satisfied with this purchase.
Customer Review: This rocks! Summary: 5 StarsI saw some videos on you tube of people playing the power tour guitar, and it really look cool, but I figured it was probably too hard to figure out and they would get frustrated. My 10 and 8 year old sons love it (and so do I)! It looks and feels like the real thing (only smaller) and has some really cool features. My ten year old son now wants the amplifier so he can really rock out! You can either play "free hand" on your own, you can play along with some preloaded songs, or it will teach you how to play some of the preloaded songs (good ones too!). I think this is better than guitar hero because you can take it anywhere and don't need to be glued to the tv to use it! Definitely their Christmas favorite and easily worth the money
Customer Review: Great (toy) substitute for a real electric guitar. Summary: 4 StarsGreat toy. My 7 year old and 3 year old love it. Of course only the 7 year old can play any songs. She got it for Christmas last year instead of a real guitar. We got the amp too.
This year, I splurged and got her the real deal (electric guitar), but Powertour was a great into to guitar for us.
Note - the first Powertour we got quit working after only a few weeks, so we returned it and got a new one. I guess it was a fluke because after nearly a year of use, the second one is still working. Yes, they still love to play with this toy.
Customer Review: 10 year old grandson loves it. Summary: 5 StarsAlthough my grandson has not yet received his Power Tour Guitar
because it is a Christmas present this year....I know he loves
them.
He had a few of his 10 year old buddies over for a sleep
over........and one of his friends brought his power tour guitar.
My daughter told me that my grandson hardly paid any attention to
his buddies once he started playing the power tour guitar. He
absolutely loved it and couldn't put it down the whole night.
My daughter said that the noise level will probably make her
regret telling me about them...(laughing).....but she suggested
I buy one for each of my grandsons......so the 6 year old will have
one also. As a loving Nanie.....I of course bought them each
a power tour guitar...AND the "amps" to go with them.....(laughing).
I love what I read from the write ups here.....and from the video on
youtube.com so I am looking forward to their concert on Christmas
Day when they open them.
I do wish however that they could be plugged into an outlet and
not be only battery operated.....but... if they enjoy them then we
will keep a supply of batteries ready.
Customer Review: This rocks Summary: 5 StarsI purchased this for my four year old son and he loved it. Learning was too difficult for him but he loved the Jam function. my 10 yr old found it easier to follow the learning. It's not Guitar Hero it's not meant to be Guitar Hero. this is an alternative to guitar hero for smaller kids.
