My son LOVES his Gloworm! His glowing face and music are a comfort to my son, who is in the process of getting used to sleeping alone in his own room. When he feels frightened, he just gently squeezes his Gloworm! Well worth the ten bucks!Also, a note to parents of disabled, and/or hearing or visually impaired children: the music is soothing lullabies that are loud and clear for those who are hearing impaired, the glowing face can be seen well by my son, who only responds visually to lights, and the Gloworm is easy to activate with barely any pressure for those who are physically disabled! This is, by far, my son's favorite toy from Santa! We bought countless other toys, including several switches and adapted toys, and the Gloworm won-out over all of them!

When I first took this toy out of the package for my 3 month old son, I thought it was loud and was disappointed that it didn't play/light up very long. BUT, then I read the instructions!!! BE SURE TO SWITCH YOUR GLOWORM TO "PLAY" MODE!!! It is shipped in "demo" mode to allow a customer to get an idea of how it works. Once you switch it to "play" mode, it gets a big quieter and it lights up and plays a full lullaby. Also, it's nice that you can choose "light" mode if you don't want any music. It's a cute toy but my son likes his Ocean Wonders Aquarium better for going to sleep...he likes to look at this when he's ready to play!! One thing that I wish it had was a volume control...maybe just "high" and "low" because it is a tad bit loud for nighttime use.Customer Review: My son loves this toy!

I bought this for my 5 month old for Christmas and he just loves it. It is so sensitive that he can easily make it light up and play the music on his own. I read the reviews about the music being loud and I am inclined to agree that it may be a bit on the loud side but it makes my son giggle so much when he hears the music play, that I cannot complain. He does hit it in the middle of the night and the music over the monitor wakes us up but never seems to disturb him. The music is a nice improvement on this toy but if I could add a constructive comment, it might be a good idea for Hasbro to make the toy with a feature that allows the sound to be turned off by a switch so that it just glows at those times when the music is not wanted.Customer Review: she loves the toy

my mother in law bought this for my then three month old at Christmas. She's now thirteen months old and STILL loves it. She sleeps with it at night and I sometimes hear Gloworm go off and a sleepy baby sing along with the toy before going back to sleep. My daughter also carries it around during the day - hugs it, kisses it, and pats its back as if she were burping it (so cute). Ilove this toy. It has saved me many nights by helping my girl self soothe as well as teaching cause and effect (hug the toy and then hear music). It's cute, machine washable, durable (seeing as how its been dropped from high chairs and change tables and never missed a beat), and inexpensive. If we lost it, I would replace it ASAP.Customer Review: Ok but not very long on the light....

We got this to help our two year old to have something she could light up at night when she woke up. This was good for that because we could turn the music off (although she turned it over and opened it up in the first 10 minutes and figured it out...) but the light only lasts for 30 seconds. She spends her time pushing it over and over instead of sleeping. It would be much better if it lasted for 5-10 minutes. The packaging didn't say how long it lasted and if I had known it was that short we would have looked for something else. The other choice lasted for 5 minutes but was light and music. With our munchkin co-sleeping with us, I didn't want the music wake up in the middle of the night.
