Toys and Games Reviews of Hasbro Playskool Let's Play Together Go & Grow GiraffeCustomer Review: A nice toy for indoor rocking fun Summary: 4 Stars
My in-laws bought this toy for my daughter (then 18 months, now 3 1/2) for Christmas two years ago, and it's stood up very well to the considerable ammount of use its had. we now have an 18 month old son who loves it too. First, what I like about it is: it's small, it doesn't take up much room in our apartment; it's low to the ground, my son has short little legs and he can still get on and off it easily; it's cute; it's been very durable; it was very easy to assemble; it rocks!(forgive me). What I don't like about it is: it's short, my daughter still likes to hop on our giraffe from time to time, but she has to wrap her legs around the front to rock, I guess what you could say is, it's better for a younger toddler. I'm also at a loss as to what the "chair" feature is. When we got this, I was under the impression that you did something to turn it into a chair, but no, your child simply sits on it backwards and TaDa! it's a chair? I think not. They would have done better just to bill the toy as a rocking giraffe, because in my opinion, the 2-in-1 thing is a tad misleading.
Customer Review: Fun and Cute Summary: 5 Stars
This is a nice variation on the usual rocking horse. It is very low to the ground, which is perfect for my one year old (daredevil). She does have a tendency to like to stand on it while holding the handles and rocking it...not a design flaw, just my silly little girl. I do think that it is helping with her balance, through the standing and rocking on it and also from getting on and off it. I like that it is light and has a large seat base. I got this for a very good deal off Amazon while looking for something along this idea for my daughter's 2nd Christmas (although she just turned one prior to Christmas). I am very happy with this purchase.
Customer Review: Independent fun Summary: 4 Stars
I bought this for my son when I realized he loved a similar rocker at his daycare. He wasn't able to get himself on or off it yet, but I put him on it, his face lit up in much happiness. Now that he's a bit older, and can get on and off on his own, he often chooses to play with it over other big toys. I think giving him the sense of freedom and independance to make a toy move himself by rocking is a big confidence booster. Perhaps parents don't think of toys this way, but I do. Not only that, but it's just fun!
Customer Review: Dangerous toy Summary: 1 Stars
We purchased this for our 6 month old daughter. She wasn't really able to use it until she was over 1 year old. Now at 18 months she loves to rock. Unfortunately she was able to rock so hard that she flipped over backwards. She got a bump on her head but it could have been much worse. The toy is poorly designed and should not flip over so easily. The manufacturer states the age range is 1-3 years but that seems ridiculous. Stay away from this unless you want to risk your child getting hurt.
Customer Review: Loves her Go & Grow Giraffe! Summary: 5 Stars
Our little girl received this as a Christmas gift when she was only 4 1/2 months old. I thought to myself - when is she ever going to play with this?! It sat in our basement until she turned 12 months and THEN she discovered this FUN toy!! She hasn't stopped playing with it since! It has helped with her coordination and provided hours of fun. It's the first toy she heads for in the morning and the last one she wants to play with at night. Would highly recommend this purchase.
