Santa brought this cottage for my 2.5 and 5 year old girls. At first, we were concerned that it would be too small for my older daughter, but we are thrilled that it is just right for both of them! They put the two halves together and use it like an enclosed house. It is a little snug with both of them, the nursery set, the stove, and about 1/2 dozen stuffed animals, but they make it work. Our two cats have also joined them inside the cottage, and when the girls are in bed, the cats play hide and seek with it. The cottage is well made with nice detail. The door and the curtains add to the excitement of pretend play. It was easy to put together. Just make sure all the zippers are unzipped and you follow the directions.Customer Review: Fantastic playhouse!

I debated giving it to my 5 year old for Christmas but in the end I gave it to my 3 year old an I am glad I did. I had never seen one of these in person and I always wondered how was it worth the cost? Anyhow, we love it. It has a fabric cover over metal bars. This makes it a bit hard to put together but makes it washable with is super nice as kids tend to bring food into play houses. It is tiny, my 3 year old is the perfect size but I have had my 9 & 11 year old sleep in it. My three year old spends HOURS in it playing. You can split the sides apart and make it all open or push them together for a
"closed" house with a door. In the end I am VERY glad I bought this. Her favorite gift by far at Christmas!

My granddaughter, almost 3 years old, received this for Christmas. She literally squealed with delight- a sight I'll never forget. Putting it together took between an hour and an hour and a half. It was not difficult. The directions were good and the parts well-labeled. The fabric is adorable. We did have to be very careful when sliding the frame into the fabric shell that we did not let it poke through in certain places and we were successful. Half of the cottage fits nicely into the other half when it's time for putting away toys, a good feature if a child has a small room. The stove that came with it was easy to put together and took only a few minutes.
I would have LOVED this as a child!

I found this a few days before Christmas it arrived and was better than I had expected. The house is fabric, but sturdy. The one half tucks into the bigger half so that you can sort-of put it away. My girls love the house for everything, and since they can't play outside right now it has made my life a lot easier. I have had a lot of interest from my friends that come over, and they can't believe the price when I tell them. My only note: when you put it together don't force the frame into the fabric, my husband ripped it. (We haven't fixed nor had any problem with the rip thus far) This was my girls (ages 4 and 2) favorite Christmas gift, and thanks to amazon prime I didn't have to pay shipping.Customer Review: I put the Rose Petal cottage together while on crutches

The only thing my 4 year old daughter asked Santa for was the Rose petal Cottage. I tried to talk her out of it after I saw it set up in Sam's Club, but after she saw it, she wanted it more. "Santa" found it at Target with the bonus table and all the accessories on a great sale (plus "he" had a coupon), so she got it. I happened to sprain my ankle pretty badly 12/23, so I was on crutches Christmas. I actually put the cottage together, by myself, on crutches and had no problem. The directions are pretty specific as to what should be done and the pictures are very clear. My daughter is thrilled with her cottage and it has become the home of her Real Little Mommy doll, that she named after herself.
